Seriously this has to stop

honestly its getting on my nerves, and im pretty sure i am not the only one who believes this. If BW thinks that the ridiculous amounts of stuns makes battle "more challenging", it doesnt, it only makes it frikkin annoying as ****. Everytime i do a heroic or im facing multiple strong enemies i get blasted with a flood of stuns, knockbacks, and what have you, only for 2 seconds later to be bombarded with the same, over and over and over again, while my stun breaks cooldown is too long and barely lets me do anything. Seriously i know there are a lot of posts about this, but jesus why would they even consider this as fun, its too much and their cooldown on their stuns and knockback are freaking stupid low. it just makes the heroic or the mission longer than it has to be and it makes me burn out the game making me not invest too much time in it because of the tediousness of this. I know they wont change it and they wont hear our pleas, which pisses me off even more. this is way beyond ****ed up BW and EA, get your shet straight...

If you're getting stunned over and over again in solo PVE content, it's your own fault. Learn which enemies have stuns and then manually command your companion to start the battle. If your companion has the aggro, he/she will eat all of those stuns instead of you.

You shouldn't blame BioWare for your inability to conceive basic tactics on your own.

You can make your point without bite. It seems to be an automatism lately and that too has to stop. Just give the adivce without belittling people.

That being said, it's a sound tactic to send your companions in first. I use my gunslinger for heroics and just send Corso in as a tank.

ive done that SIR, but even then when attention is unintentionally focused on my toon, i still get a barrage of stuns, its not about the tactics i use, its about the ridiculous amounts of it from almost every silver and gold NPC's that seems to have a cocktail of stuns, honestly it takes away the fun, and you dont have to belittle me to put your point across. typical internet im anonymous so i can be mean, seriously, and i do blame BW since its their development team who thought it would be fun to put ridiculous amounts of stun on enemies. I understand basic tactics in this game and any other game, its not rocket science, what im complaining about is the fact that it takes away the fun even with the proper tactic because of random factors. even if your companions takes aggro the enemy npc can still focus you at any time and rinse and repeat the stuns, and if you havent seen that then your tone and insult as well as your advice is moot.

its not about easy, its about having fun, and its not fun to be stunned every other second(even with your comp getting the aggro due to again randomness of the NPC which sometimes switches gears on you, especially in elite mobs) are you guys even reading everything written, it sounds like you all just read the things that only capture your attention in the sense of immediate response for insulting and telling people to shut up. even back when the game was "harder"(and i say that with equal parts seriousness and sarcasm considering i never found this game hard) the stuns where just as equally annoying, but for some reason wasnt as prominent as it is now, even when the comp can tank. and back then we didnt have the option to switch their roles which should have made it more annoying than it is now.

Are you implying that the glut of CCs adds some sort of challenge or difficulty?

hes being a jerk, and i can answer that, yes he is implying that, which again leads me to believe they only read part of my post which is saying that it isnt fun to be bombarded with CC no matter the tactic(which doesnt always work)

I've become sort of picky in which heroics I do regularly, rarely and only if absolutely necessary, because of this.

That being said, it *is* possible to reduce the exasperation, although often times it does require using a character with proper CC (commando/merc or shadow/assassin for one). A strong tank companion with high influence can take a severe pounding without losing a lot of health, and if the stun-happy mob comes running at me, again, depending on the toon I bring, I have countermeasures (commando/merc can knock back AND jet-boost backward, I've killed golds that absolutely SPAM-deluge stun after stun after stun without getting stunned, once, by careful use of these abilities.

I do recognize that this depends on using the right class with the right abilities, and if you're fond of using another class without them, you'd need to improvise. When it comes down to it, though, I am rather finicky about what heroics to farm regularly, which to visit rarely, and which to avoid if at all possible. Some heroics simply don't have so many stun-and-knockback happy mobs and can be finished pretty quickly.

Sad thing is there are a lot of heroics that have CC happy NPC's so i get your pickiness. And yeah at this point im using Sniper, which does have a knockback, but i mostly have to improvise due to the long cooldown. Doesnt make it any more fun either way, which is my point in all this, its not fun to employ the proper tactic only to be ****ed by your cooldowns and have to suffer the lack there off the NPC's CD on the stuns. And i also thank you for being kind and offering advice without flaming me, another kind soul giving the example, thank you.

Yes. Very much. The stuns, knockbacks, and snares (especially when playing melee) are absurd. It doesn't add difficulty to the game, just annoyance factor. There are some heroics (such as a couple of the Voss missions) that are nearly unplayable as melee. Getting knocked around by 5 mercenaries for 18 seconds is NOT fun. It has nothing to do with skill, it has to do with no matter what companion is used in what mode, I end up getting bounced around, stunned, and snared, and sometimes it's a chain effect. It's NOT fun and it's NOT challenging. It's merely annoying, and obscenely so.
