Stuck at updating

You know what would be nice, a dev or someone in charge to actually acknowledge these posts and tell us what the heck is going on. I just resubbed this week and was starting to enjoy the changes. But I did not miss these patch day screw ups.

 

 

Side note, its now be 25 minutes and I am still stuck at the same rate I was when I made this post.

Downloaded the update pretty quickly but now stuck on launcher.

Red bar at bottom of launcher shows 'Installing 100% Updating Complete'.

Play button faded.

Do the instructions to "wait it out" apply only to DOWNLOADING, or to INSTALLING as well?

 

I'm stuck at a 96.12% INSTALL. Does that mean I've downloaded fine, but that my installation is corrupted?

 

If so, any tips!

There was a lengthy thread running during the extended downtime. When the servers came back up, TaitWatson (not sure if the's a dev or a forum moderator) posted this:

 

Please note that if your patch is downloading slowly, allow the patch to finish, even if you experience periods of download inactivity. We are working with our external content delivery partners to remedy the situation.

 

Players who previously started their download, the same applies: allow the download to complete, even if there are periods of inactivity. It will ultimately download.

 

Thread was closed after that. I don't know any more than that.

initialising for the last half hour... been subbed since day 1 without a break, been very tempted in recent months to call it quits. Very, very tempted at the moment. Always loved the game, but always implementation patches and customer service has been diabolical.

Slow is 1 thing, being stuck in 1 spot for almost 1/2 hour is not slow. I have snail mail that moves faster.

Nope, not able to download, neither with bitraider nor without it. It does not even start.

 

I'm getting Error 311 (once managed to get 310..I think).

Does it count as a 'period of download inactivity' lol?

 

I do know that my network connection is ok. Fix it, BW.

I am stuck at 95.05%

I actually downloaded the patch fine before the servers came back up. Started SWTOR when they mentioned the servers back up... and found it started from scratch again.

 

Now sitting at 0% and not moving. Great.

 

Closed and reopened, and it started from scratch again. Awesome. I'm sure the patcher used to keep progress made?

 

On the other hand another computer in the house also downloaded the patch while servers were down, and just jumped straight into playing as soon as they came up. No starting the patch from scratch on that one.

Mine is slowly updating, but at the speed of an earthworm crawling up Mount Everest. In all honesty BioWare - this isn't fixed and it isn't even an acceptable work around. It took mine 20 minutes to go from 95.5% to 95.51%.

 

Nine hours down and the best we have is the update is going to take another 9 hours to install? You have got to be kidding!

 

A lot of members of my guild do not come to the forums (even though they are subs) and are going to be surprised at these updates.

You gotta love how they announce that the servers are up, close their thread and then all F off.

Yeah, servers ARE up but it's still frigging broken and we're getting 0 feed back apart from "Meh, it'll sort itself out in the end"
