BaronBS Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I'm seeing very choppy animation with almost all NPCs, both distant and near. Anyone able to enlighten me on whether this is happening to others?
MillionsKNives Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Yes, it's been an issue since 3.3.2. It looks awful and I shudder every time I see it. Someone had the bright idea that he could increase FPS by 0.2 by reducing the animation framerate of NPCs by 90%.
CronoSMagnum Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Has there ever been an official response about this or a workaround? I'm normally not a graphics snob, but seeing enemies and NPCs shuffle around is really sorta killing me here.

It's very visually jarring though isn't it? I know some people don't seem to notice it as much though so maybe we're just too sensitive? I do wish that we could have a switch to turn it back to the old way though.
CronoSMagnum Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Having it be a toggleable option in the menu would be incredibly nice, but I don't know what kind of time or coding requirement that would have. It is entirely possible that doing so could take a lot more time than it would be worth, considering they have their hands full with the new expansion and all.
BaronBS Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 (edited) It's hard to understand why this could be "working as intended", considering I can't think of a single other game that cuts corners like that... it's not even a "corner", it's combat which is 50% of the game Edited November 6, 2015 by BaronBS
