If so, then someone must be born equally strong in the light side because the Force was supposed to balance out light and dark, according to Darth Plagueis- who theorized that Maul was born strong in the dark side due to the Jedi being in power for so long. rverghes Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 Don't forget that the Jedi of that time period did defeat the Sith pretty thoroughly in the Great Hyperspace War, forcing them to flee to the outer reaches of the galaxy. So maybe the Force was balanced. Jedi = Other Sith + Vitiate. But since Vitiate did not participate in the war, the Jedi were much much more powerful than the other Sith (in addition to the Sith infighting), which allowed the Jedi to win. That theory seems to imply that the Force predestines some people to be evil, which would be... weird. Given the number of people who successfully switch from the Light Side to the Dark and back again during their lifetimes, surely it comes down to the individual's choices and actions, rather than being assigned at birth? He was born on a world which would later be known as Nathema, at a young age he killed his master Marka Ragnos and claimed rulership over this world, he was given the title of Lord Vitiate and renamed the planet, he kept himself and his planet out of the sith politics and eventually learned rituals that showed him to mind dominate thousands of sith and use them to create the Nathema device, he wiped out all life on the planet and gained his immortality. because of this act he was given power by everyone else and became the emperor. what happened on that Planet remained a mystery after he wiped out all life and records were sealed on the incident. it just so happens that Lord Scourge knew about the emperors power and the aftermath that forced the confrontation on the emperors space station with the jedi knight hundreds of years later after that whole Revan and Malak business and then Surik. He wanted Vitiate dead because he feared for the empire and the galaxy as a whole for what Vitiate may do. How Jadus learned of this is unknown, but he knew as well. The young Vitiate was about as stable as a 3 legged chair from the start, he slaughtered his master and his family when he was young, goes to show just how depraved he became later on when he started mind dominating sith and everyone else in his rituals.
