If you search in the forums, you'll find that lots of people have made this and/or other similar requests that BW ease the restrictions on F2P and/or Preferred accounts. The response from the audience is usually hostile. And voluminous.

why this is popular:

why this met with resistance

1) want something more, pay

2) you want something for free, thats not the way the world works

3) one of the primary reasons to sub is the caps remove those remove incentive to sub

4) remove incentive to sub and people stop subbing and game goes into shutdown mode

As much as I'm for more advantages for preferred players. The credit cap should stay as it is. It's one of the main incentives to sub.

I wouldn't mind seeing them offer something like a permanent cap increase similar to the escrow transfer items that exist now.

 

So for something like 20x the cost of the escrow transfer, you could permanently increase the credit cap of a non-sub account.

You could buy as many as you wanted.

 

That would let them increase their credit cap by 50k for 800cc, 150k for 1600cc, or by 600k for 4800cc.

Granted, it's a significantly worse deal than just subscribing so the incentive to subscribe isn't removed, but it would at least put the option out there for the people that whine about it.

a option to increase there credit cap by buying it with CC's from the central market is maybe a good thing.

and if the option for 1 char or all chars on account then the escrow transfer price's on the GTN will maybe go down.

and sure for the account version unlock you most pay what more then for the 1 char unlock.

 

if this option that preferred players can get more credit limit if there buy a item from the central market.

then you can also add maybe a option that there can sent credits to other chars for 1 time each week or 2 weeks maybe?

its a little small benefit there get and still the sub players have the big versions from it?
