Time Spent Should Be Equal Pay (Slot Machince)

I think the idea of the slot machine was awesome. The issue was it was affecting the market of crafting material that was what the issue was then they altered the payout which got the other half of the people upset so it pretty much upset everyone.

To make the people happy who actually did go out and spend real cash to buy more packs to get slot machines and even more than one so they could have a reason to invite people over I think they are the ones that got hurt the most by this all.

I say keep the drop rates as they are now but alter the sell rate at which the rep tokens are sold back to the vendor for. I say increase the sell rate make it that when playing a slot machine say for 30mins straight the payout would equal that of running dailies.

In all honest dailies are easy and just a grind of doing the same thing over so why not reward the players with another option to grind out cash and also have a chance at a rare speeder. Like myself and many others it was a fun distraction between warzone pops. It also added something else to end game but now after you drop a stack ur always in the negative there doesn't ever seem to be a chance to be in the positives. I really think it would make people happy that they were ahead of the game on credits even just by a bit.

I think equal time means equal pay out here. And the plus side of having it like this with an equal payout equal to running dailies is that the daily areas aren't full of people taking ur spawns etc. plus it's a good fun thing for a guild to do is to hangout have an area for pvp duels having guild mates playing the slot machines and just having a good time. Now that people know there isn't a decent chance to make money I am sure the use of those machines has dropped. Would be nice to have other machines in the future with other rep and other rare items to be won like speeders or armour etc. but I think if there is ever going to be a new slot machine people will be wary about buying the cartel packs for them. But if you fixed them to something that would make them fun then I can see the next cartel packs that featured a new slot machine would sell a lot but you need to give players confidence in the slot machines. I am sure bioware can see how sales of this cartel pack went from selling a lot to very few if any once the slot machine was nerfed.

Bioware do not just say it's fixed and be done te visit it until it gets to a happy medium and then call it quits atleast make it look like you care about the players. I get that you made your money on the cartel packs and that is all that matters but it's not. I saw the Duffy video of your cantina tour where people were just laying and laying on the floor it looked like a pathetic turn out. You really had a lot of promise here having the worlds greatest franchise to play with and create something great but you made something so so and along the way you have offended and upset a lot of people and that's why people leave because the game feels like a money grab. And that's why you have people posting that you are using bait and switch and that the players don't have any trust in the company. If you could create a game even if it had issues if you made it look like you cared about the players the people would be here to support you and you would have more subs and more cartel packs sold.

No.

The slot machines should be something you can put in your stronghold as a gimmick. Pay 500 for a coin, click machine and either win or lose like normal, but that should be it. Perfect for those who bother enough with Strongholds to make these casinos and play areas you've seen for RP purposes and .... "parties."

It shouldn't give you credits, or an equal return back on use and it certainly shouldn't give you a lifes worth of crafting materials in one day. The fact that Bioware misjudged the possible gain from the machine before releasing it (because doing any sort of testing before they did release it was apparently out of the question) and they'll have to live with the hate and try to minimize it in the future.

Yeah no. I think the slot machine was added as a means of getting old rep without having to go through packs, selling of the unused rep items was a 2ndary biproduct. I have no reason to think (and the nerf online reinforces) that BW doesn't want slots to be a money making venture or even a break even. To have time on slot = credit gain via same time in dailies means less people would be out in the game doing dailies and instead sitting in front of a slot machine. Negating the need for gear, or lvl, or other people, etc etc. I doubt any dev wants to take an MMO that way. Plus there is an issue where some countries/states have laws against online simulated gambling. I know of at least one other MMO that has tripped over those laws in the past.

I agree with the OP 100% with one exception...most slots DO make you lose over time.

They just don't make you lose as badly as the currently over-nerfed payouts do the way the slot is now.

And, there is always the chance...however small...of a jackpot on good slot machines. Really, the speeder just isn't jackpot enough to make up for the overall poor payout.

At MINIMUM they should reduce the slot cost back to 500 credits. At slightly more than minimum, they should tweak the payout table to be a bit higher. At "hey, we really messed up with the over-nerf and want to fix this", they should remove the crafting materials and add some other fun prizes//fix the pay table so the machine is fun again!

I AM one of those people who wants to buy LOTS of slot machines and make a "working" casino in my GSH that my friends will visit. Right now, as implemented, and with the event "communication" that they are afraid to release more slot machines, I fear this will never happen and it makes me sad because it is so darn easy to fix.
