Vigilark
I'm datacron hunting, wondering if I should bother with the aim datacrons. Does aim influence saber throw? If not, what does? Str or wis? Both? Thanks.
Ailaria
That's actually a valid question, in theory it could count as ranged. However, it still deals weapon damage, and weapon damage is (for sentinels/guardians) affected only by strength and power. So no, we have absolutely no use for aim or cunning, and willpower is only good for buffing our force attacks.
znihilist
If you are ever wondering about anything like that simply press "p", select Warrior or Marauder and look at the description of the ability. We need to understand that what we think is melee and ranged is not necessarily how it is implemented in the game. Melee/Force abilities are strictly for warriors and inquisitor, Ranged/Tech abilities are strictly for bounty hunter and agent. DST is a melee ability and only influenced by Str, rocket a punch which is essentially a melee ability as in how we understand it is not a melee ability and is in fact a tech ability that doesn't get any bonus from Str. If you are a Warrior/Inq go for only Endurance/Presence/Strengh/Willpower datacrons. If you are a BH/Agent go for only Endurance/Presence/Aim/Cunning datacrons. Don't be the terrible Concealment Op I had to go into an arena with who was using full strength gear "because it buffs Melee damage, and all my attacks are melee!"
