  1. To be fair, the OP referred to both his own and his friend's class by the base class name rather than the AC, so it's not that far-fetched that he simply mistook a sentinel for a guardian. Also, If he just vanished instead of actually stealthing, then that can be explained by going to a stronghold, accepting a guild flagship summon, using group finder or going into a GSF/warzones. If he did legitimately stealth (which has an animation), then the only legitimate way for a guardian to do that is to have a scoundrel friend who uses smuggle (or whatever it's called).
  2. This issue is very odd to say the least, sadly I don't really have a solution for you either. One thing I did notice (which I don't see anyone else mention) is that the delay on your Disturbances was extremely consistent. Every time the cast was delayed, it was delayed by almost exactly 100 ms. That could give some clue to what the issue is.
  3. What I would really prefer is the ability to convert every other crystal type to common crystals. Once your character is geared, both glowing and radiant crystals are utterly useless, whereas companion gifts stay useful for a lot longer.
  4. That's his signature, not his post... Anyway, if one of those things has become bound for whatever reason, you should be making an in-game ticket. Those items are not broken, they correctly bind to legacy when you buy them.
  5. Just curious, which cases are you talking about? The credit case and scrap peddler lockbox correctly bind on pickup, and the commendation grants correctly bind to legacy. (Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.)
  6. The medal for joining an ongoing warzone does serve a purpose, and a very important one at that: it gives people less incentive to immediately leave the warzone that they joined. That medal is in no way useless. You already get rewarded for staying until the end of the game (since you get nothing for leaving), so this suggestion doesn't really help at all - if anything, it gives incentive to sit uselessly at the turret doing nothing, which hurts your team even more than just leaving the warzone (assuming that someone's already defending, obviously). Now, what they could do (and what I'd really like to see) is give attacker points for actively engaging the enemy. Basically, in a game where your team is being dominated, you should still be able to get more medals by fighting than by sitting at the turret, which isn't currently the case.
  7. I see no reason why this couldn't be implemented, as long as they do make it optional (since personally I would absolutely hate having this feature ).
  8. Yeah, incapacitating effects are effects that literally prevent you from doing anything. Knockbacks would be referred to as physics, and roots as movement-impairing effects, but neither of those incapacitates you. The wording can be a bit confusing, but they had to make it that way to ensure that the wording is correct (since not all incapacitates are stuns/sleeps/lifts).
  9. branmakmuffin, I think you ought to read the OP more carefully before posting:
  10. Just a harmless bump. I can honestly say that this is by far the most annoying bug in the game for me at the moment. It's almost making me regret that I leveled T7's influence, since he's so close to the bottom of the list (but not quite low enough that I could just scroll all the way down). And you know there's something wrong with the game when players start regretting giving shiny packages to T7. :S
  11. I really like that first suggestion, it does feel like crew missions are suddenly unnecessarily short. Your second suggestion I'd much rather take a step further: add an option you could tick that makes you automatically accept all crew mission rewards without popping up anything. I for one don't really give a damn what the results of each individual companion's mission is, since I run so many of them that individual crits become fairly uninteresting. I just want the mats without the hassle of "you can't start a new mission before accepting the old rewards".
  12. If you're gearing for extra accuracy on a slinger/merc/marauder/sentinel, you are doing something wrong.
  13. I know for a fact that having two 2-piece bonuses at least gives you two buffs from it, as I just tested that earlier when someone was asking if it does stack. I haven't verified that the damage increase works correctly, but I'd say it's very unlikely that you'd get the double buff without getting the benefit from it. Also, do keep in mind that putting your faith in Bioware is often a bad idea.
  14. Amazing work as always, oofalong! I have one question (which was posted earlier in this thread but seemed to go unnoticed): have you considered using the old 2-piece and the new 4-piece rather than the new 6-piece? The 2-piece from two different sets stacks, essentially making Battering Assault/Zealous Strike increase damage by 4% rather than 2%. So essentially my question is, is the 2-piece or the 6-piece better? And roughly how big is the difference (i.e. is it worth losing mastery for)? Some quick fiddling with your spreadsheet gave me 5247 damage per minute for the 6-piece and 4116 for the 2-piece, but I may have done something wrong there.

    Set bonus

I just tested this, at least the sentinel/marauder 2-piece set bonus procs twice when wearing 4 of the old set and 2 of the new one.
  16. I just came to the forums planning to post a thread about this, happy to see one already exists. Sorting by influence would make so much sense, I've currently got 19 companions and the whole list is just a mess (and naturally my highest influence companion just so happens to be almost at the bottom of the list). There is absolutely no reason to have the crew skill window sorted by anything other than influence anyway. You can't summon companions through it anymore and companions don't have crew skill bonuses, so there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn't want to use your six highest influence companions for all your crafting and crew missions.
  17. The bit about being unable to equip customizations on the ship droids sounds bad, but other than that, why do people view this as a problem? Treek looks amazing as a broken scarecrow target dummy! =D Especially loving those meter-long claws she gets. :3
  18. That's all fair enough as the patch notes were already long, but they didn't even mention anything about this in the blog post about warrior/knight changes, and that's just a failure in communication on their part. They typically only skip minor changes, not things as significant as this.
  19. Just finished patching, and noticed that my Force Charge is now only useable from 10-30m as a Watchman Sentinel. What gives? This change definitely wasn't in the patch notes.
  20. When using an ability which can be cast while moving, running over a warzone buff (e.g. heal or speed buff) interrupts the cast. I'm assuming it applies to any cast, but I've only tested it on a sage healer using Healing Trance (with the Force Mobility utility).
  21. Since the OP specifically asked for off-healing, operative/scoundrel is probably the best fit for that. I think it's also worth mentioning that while marauders/sentinels are technically more mobile than VGs/PTs, that mobility is destroyed by movement impairs/roots while VGs/PTs get immunity to that on their mobility cooldown. In PvE though it's probably the most mobile class you could have since roots are less common (and less frequent even in fights that do have them).
  22. There is only one acceptable answer in a thread like this: Blizz. <3
  23. Just to state the obvious, having FD instead of Undying would be terrible for PvE. It makes me cringe every time one of these awful "hey let's give away Undying Rage"-threads pops up, because one of these days someone at BW might be more insane than usual and actually think it's a good idea.
  24. Nono, changes must equal buffs. It's not like the devs could ever mess up. Seriously though, as a PvE Watchman player I can honestly say that it's been pretty much nothing but downhill for this entire expansion. Sure, 3.2.1 would've been a good step in the right direction if not for the fact that, as others have pointed out, they made the rotation even worse than it was before. I was genuinely surprised that was even possible, considering how bad the changes in 3.0 were.
  25. I'm starting to know that feeling all too well. I find myself actually hoping I have to backup heal in raids just so I can avoid playing my sentinel. Anyway, thank you so much for the work you've put in (even if, as you've said, the result is horrible). Being a sentinel would be such a pain in the bum without El'ethon and oofalong.
