No offense but that's kinda silly.

What would you like next, while at it? Tactical operations too?

I kinda wish that there was an option for tactical flashpoints but an OPTION, not actual CONVERSION.

To be fair we already have a tactical OPs boss with the Rakghoul event... Wouldn't be a stretch lol.

Edit: Whoops confusing Tactical with Bolster again..

Would you rather them not continue to give Subscribers perks for being subscribers?

I don't consider such a thing a perk quite honestly.

IMHO, it ONLY works at their behest, since they're the ones who come ahead to keep working in... Whatever they're working behind the scenes.

You are mistake, I never said less was more or even intended it. I wouldn't mind seeing HM's of these tacticals and I wouldn't be surprised with all the Tacticals we're getting this year if they arn't just holding off until the expansion to release them as HM at the new level. That being said I don't know how you got Less is More from me wanting more tactical flashpoints for leveling but okay.

As I said in the past, holding back stuff only to herald it as "A BRAND NEW content" when it is actually "retooled" is just poor form.

I would love for the Gambling event to have been a permanent feature but the event is based off a Hutt holiday so there's that. However considering they said this was a test about these kinds of features (and I would say this test has been a success btw) That it wouldn't be too silly to expect more different gambling things in the future. There is plenty of un-used space in the casino they can put these new games

Issue being that... The Soovada is Bioware's brainchild, a convenient excuse for them to have gambling only ONCE a year(!!!) on Nar Shaddaa. :o

Also, people have been asking for gambling even before the game was launched so I have no idea what they're testing exactly.

PS - Akin to Cyan, the LS crystal that my main has on her LS. :D

You don't consider getting early access to stuff over other players a perk? Tell me then what is a perk to you?

You know as well as I do, they're making do with what they can.

I believe it was a test to see how people would like stuff like that and if they could add in possibly more requested min-games like Pazaak or W/e.

Pft Cyan, Dark Red or ****.

My opinions about recent releases.

GSF - For a combat space sim fan, GSF is a joke and well the single player tunnel shooter not even as good as the ol'Rebel Assault.

CM - Roundly $20 for a gear dye we can't even unbind? Way to rip off people.

Gambling - Good way to make gold spammers happy, and well not even as good as a simple Pazaak

KDY (tacticals) - Not bad at all ;)

GS - SWG did better 10+ years ago, any game that has housing but LotRo does better.

/sad SW fan.

I should have been more clear. Not only do I think there should have been SM and HM versions of the current tacticals, I would not expect for current SMs to be replaced by Tacticals....only that they would convert current SMs to tacticals and add them to the list of tacticals available...naturally the SMs would remain in place.

NO HM or OP should be tactical IMO. That would be silly.

However, I do believe all current heroics should be converted to tacticals instead.

I hope that clears that up a bit.

Might as well as rename them and stop calling'em "Heroics" then.

Two things:

1.) That 20 Dollar Dye is something you don't have to buy, it's a luxury item like a high priced sports car. They arn't forcing you to buy it so you can't be ripped off.

2.) What does gambling have to do with making gold sellers happy?

Whenever someone complains over stuff such as this, they just kindly point out one more reason for not taking them seriously.

I know EA is the devil but then again, I'm fairly sure they don't have a hitman in every single household, pointing a gun at people's head urging them to buy the dye.

Hell, if people actually didn't dyes(!!!) for 2000 CC, they would have dropped in price already; They haven't.

I wonder why is that... Perhaps people are actually buying them?

The day they sell mandatory items on the CM is when I'll stop supporting it but as of right now it's just cosmetic fluff that you don't need to play the game. I see no reason to hate on a shop like that. Most games have shops that provide you an advantage for real money.

I asked you tho since you made the claim.

Again: What does gambling have to do with making Gold sellers happy?

In game credits are much more looked after since the slot machines implementation, especially due to the rancor prize.

And that is why it was made... So people like you would post stuff like that...

If actually nothing at all had come out, then everyone would be after their heads, they do a small amount of stuff and get people like you defending them.

But of course, the point is lost on you. It may be content, but it isn't enough and it isn't core content, CM stuff is content using your view, it can be purchased on the GTN after all, so are you saying they only have to do CM stuff from now on?

wow me saying putting in a brand new full game mode was adding new content and you think I said I said they only need reskined armor? my logic is no match for the awesome power of your brilliant deductive reasoning.

a

nd wouldn't building a new gameplay type from the ground up take more resources than throwing together "core content where a large part can be borrowed from existing code? that's a rhetorical question by the way.

GSF and GSH are minor updates that both took limited resources to make, 3.0 isn't even being talked about, and we haven't gotten more than a pair of flash points in how long?

this just shows how little you know. entirely new features with new mechanics etc like GSF and GSH are something that take a LOT of effort. they'd been woprking on GSF for 2 yyears. and GSHs for proably close to that as well. this is stuff the fanbase has been asking for since launch

A couple of things, I'm sure that will catch the attention of no one on page 27, but going to put it out there anyway.

For SWTOR, they mention revenue, not subs, but then say the dollar amount is what makes it the 4 largest sub MMO.

I can't really take that seriously given the amount of cash the cartel market pulls in, and the drop in activities across the boards being reported by players on all servers. Seems to me SWTOR might have less subs but pulls in more substantial cash due to the cartel market.

The other thing, feeding off of that - is that if the above IS the case, and that we really have fewer subs and they are STILL pulling in this kind of haul, it REALLY PISSES ME OFF. Because it means they have the funds, they have the revenue, and they have the means to truly grow this game in the way it properly deserves and give it the proper attention it needs, and instead, what do we get? The same release 3 months in a row, awful communication, a very shoddy release schedule, and no story content to speak of since Makeb, at least until 3.0 comes out, and then what, ignored for another year or two?

Its one thing to believe they are hamstrung and CAN'T invest what is needed to make this MMO all it could be to the most people. Its ENTIRELY ANOTHER thing to know they CAN and DO have the funds to pull it off, but someone, be it the producer, the bean counters in EA, or some combination of the two is saying "nah, lets just stay with an understaffed crew and milk this sucker for all its worth."

Its borderline rage inducing.

That's revenue, not subs. Huge difference, especially considering how expensive the cash shop here is.

That makes sense. Because I was going to say, just doing some basic math, that if SWTOR was pulling in $165 million a year, that equates to about 1.14 million subscribers. (Roughly) . Someone with much better math skills than me can doulbecheck that, but I don't believe this game has anything close to a million subs.

Don't come in here with that mess, man. I said the same thing pages back, that if they were seeing this kind of revenue as of last year we should be seeing a return on it in terms of devs on board and content release, and was replied to that content doesn't just come out of thin air. Apparently it is foolish for you or I or anyone else to think that with the money this game is seeing that we should also be seeing more content.

I logged out earlier out of boredom. I spent a while grinding out rep with GSI to get some boots for my Trooper, cleared Voss with him, then did the Oricon weekly on another toon for some quick creds and was just so bored that I called it quits. I had no desire to grind out KDY anymore. I had no desire to do DF/DP/S&V/TfB or classic runs again. Just bored. Last night was the first time I had played in a week and it all still feels stagnant. The only appeal of the 55 Tacticals is the chance at one of the Korrealis mounts, and even that isn't too exciting. Guess I'll do Gree a time or two next week for kicks, but I like others am just bored with the game as is.

As others said elsewhere though, the game is making plenty of money, so if I and a few others move on for the time being or maybe for good, who cares right? The game will go on.

You have unrealistic expectations of a game heading toward a new expansion at the end of the year.

I whole-heartedly invite you go find yourself a game that maintains a steady content release schedule of the particular type of content that you like at a pace that you approve of and never slows down while resources are put toward the next expansion.

Lemme know if you find one.

Say what???

No, that'd be around 92.000 subs if you count them paying the highest sub cost of 15$ per month.

You just divided by 15 it seems... meaning they'd have 1.14 million subs, but only during one month of the year...
