No one is winning anything, there is nothing to win or lose. You sir are just wanting to troll. I've seen you do it before on these forums. Furthermore, Government and rants have nothing to do with this. I am not here to argue politics. So, what's your point? You have none.

I wasn't the one you brought up politics to this thread last I checked.

Besides, as pointed out already, you could have bought the character slots from the CM DIRECTLY, instead of complaining about those - absolutely(!!!) - outrageous and shocking prices on the GTN.

You chose not to, just like those greedy, bad men and women chose to sell said character slots at those - absolutely(!!!) - outrageous and shocking prices.

In other words, why should their liberty be restricted to accommodate the likes of you, who apparently have an issue with a Free Market economy? Even more so in a virtual environment.

Regardless, I don't expect you to answer. Run along.

Finished done over. Bye Bye.

You seem to have an irresistible urge to have the last word, even if its that same last word you already posted a dozen times. Whatever you think you accomplish by doing this, I doubt you are actually accomplishing it.

I guess he's trying to let the whole world know that he's taking his ball and going home.

Perhaps, but doesn't he realize that continuing to respond is the opposite of doing that?

Apparently not. It seems that he does not understand that editing his posts does NOT edit any other posts, either. The whole world can see what he posted originally, through the quotes of those posts.

nothing says mature and reasonable discussion than going back editing every comment trying to pretend it never happened.

OP apparently doesn't want other people to realize that he was a proponent of "Force people to sell stuff I want on the GTN at prices that I dictate".

I can't completely blame him. That's a pretty embarrassing statement to make. I'd want to hide it from the world, too. Wait. No, I'd just never say it. Because its silly.

modern "progressivism" aka "socialism" and PC, its become a plague, common sense and reality have gone the way of the dodo it seems.

we have all seen it on the forums "entitlements, demands, cash grabbing greedy company, they don't listen, not my responsibility they (bioware) need to do something" etc.

Not sure what can be done to change modern culture that has been festering for years.

For the sake of later generations knowing of the OP's idiocy, I took the time to collect some of his precious ramblings...

......

Some in-depth character study should be in place... Provided one is not afraid of discarding its own sanity in the process.

Nicely done. Kind of a monument to feelings of self-inflicted victim centered entitlement gone wild. :D

What he fails to realize is that the GTN is essentially a free market between players. Players acquire (through various means of farming.... it's ALL farming afterall..even the CM) items desired by others. Said items are either consumed personally or resold to other players at established market prices (ie: what others are willing to pay). Not all players agree as to what does/does-not equal "fair market"... but that changes nothing.... as the market is a plurality of players not single player special interest groups.

Personally, I cherry picked all my character slot unlocks off the GTN at discount prices long ago. It took a little time to get all 10, but it was my choice to trade time for credits and bargain shop. He could do exactly the same... because even if prices on an item spike in the market..... the prevailing market prices established for a given server generally always return after the spike abates.

The unlock in question is indeed being over priced by some players right now.... but that will pass. The low price on Harbinger this morning is 277K and the high price is 1000K. When I see spreads this wide on the GTN... I know that the high end prices are not likely to sell.... and they should simply be disregarded entirely. 275K is actually not a bad price.....though I recall I bought all mine when they first came out... for under 200K each.

was searching for the price of a belt I had (think it was the 519 cybernetic belt) there happened to be only a single one listed on the GTN, so the seller listed at 1milliion credits.

Every other cybernetic belt on average around 30k, boots and other less demand pieces selling for <5k for the same set. I kind of just rolled my eyes, obviously if it is not on the GTN it MUST be rare and thus expensive.

i've seen armor pieces listed for 2x the cost of the (upper/lower/sup) crate they are in. When they released the entire sets in a single crate they were selling for about half the price of even just a chest piece or head piece. Granted when I sell I tend to be dropping inventory and more clearing up space than into the long haul of making money. especially on items that have high turn around.

But i did pick up a rare blaster rifle at 600k that normally sells for 1.5 million, so there are times i'll purchase for long haul :)
