tweetlek
Hello, I'm on the cusp of possibly making a specialization change. After searching around, I came across the 2.7 DPS leaderboard thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=734965 I'm given to understand these are damage simulations on the ops training dummy. I know the actual ops boss encounters affect the outcome due to mechanics and such but how close of an estimate are these sims in relation to actual encounter results? Also, based on the current ops content (DF/DP) and state of the skill trees is there one particular specialization which has an advantage/easier time due to the nature of the current fight mechanics between watchman, combat, and dotsmash? Thanks.
Alucardess
Combat on single target burst and target switching. Dotsmash on either single target sustained or AoE trash waves (CZ or Draxus). Watchman is pretty much bad at most fights besides a few where you can maintain constant DoT uptime and Merciless/Juyo stacks (Nefra, Tyrans). However, Dotsmash seems to be better than even Watchman on single target fights so you can do that too.
