-Streven-
Can someone tell me why ion rail is so much stronger than all other ion weapons? Why shouldn't ion missiles be just as strong? Why shouldn't ion lasers drain just as much power? Seems pretty disparate to me. /end rant

-Streven-
http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=731379 Now shoo Yeah yeah I know. We didn't really need another one of these threads. I just didn't feel like searching for an appropriate thread just so i could cry a little. Call me lazy and a overly envious that my ion weapon isn't as cool as yours.
Pilgrim_Grey
Actually, I'd point to ion railgun needing to go the direction of ion missiles with its tier 5, but to each their own. I've done it ad nauseum in other threads, I know.
mudmobile
Looking at it from a realistic view point. Its like the difference between a rifle and a cannon. The railgun is a high concentrated, full blast of ion energy. Where as a missile is made up of multiple components one of which is an ion charge nowhere as powerful as a full on rail shot. You also mentioned ion lasers, yes they are like the rail but they are smaller and also less powerful, that is like the difference between a handgun and a cannon.
