How do you feel about the upcoming class changes in 2.5?

the undying rage nerf was good.

the op cover nerf was good despite what people are saying about dps ops...however without buffs to sorc and merc heals it wasnt enough

NO BUFF TO SORC OR MERC HEALS? ARE YOU CRAZY???? ***?????

same with no buff to madness....lol

ravage buff was apparently not needed and not wanted according to snaplemouton...and apparently a rootbreak on focused defense would have been better...so swing and a miss on that i suppose

sin tank changes are good...but they still lack that way of protecting a healer or dps...juggs have intercede, pts have oil slick, sins have .... nothing

the madness change was a step in the right direction for sorcs, but better force regen was what was really needed. madness sins still suck and apparently always will suck. they really needed love.

and finally...deception changes. they are not now op...but the changes were pointless. THEY HAVE GOOD BURST DAMAGE, BAD SUSTAINED DAMAGE. WHY DID YOU GIVE THEM MORE BURST? THEY ARE STILL NOT IN A GOOD PLACE. EVEN PVEERS SAY THEY NEED MORE SUSTAINED LESS BURST. JEEZ

so all in all 2 good changes amidst a sea of pointless or bad changes plus lack of some REALLY NEEDED changes. i mean good god there is still only ONE viable arena healer.

i do like the new incremental approach to changes tho. but like ive said somewhere else, it was a step in the right direction, but the wrong first step

Why do people whine all the time? There's difference between constructive criticism and whining, but half of stuff here is just nonsense (especially when op healers whine, lol!). Some people need to learn how to play with their classes and stop whining. If people would address problems in more mature manners I believe there are procedures that could help us to raise issues to devs.

I'm rolling mercenary bodyguard and, even this class has serious issues and we are left out of this update, I still think it's quite playable and enjoyable.

Breaking spikes cc is a very bad idea.

I didn't say use a CC Break on the knockdown. XD That would be suicidal.

I just said that in the one milli second gap between the time you get up from spike, and the Sin uses his next ability, you can CC him and/or escape. I have used that delay before in Solo Ranked where two Assassins focused me simultaneously, and took much more time to kill me than they would if i CC-broke on Electrocute like most people do.

Sin focuses me > Force Camo > choose when and where to fight

No hard evidence, but lots of implications of a Ranged patch.

For one, they said they would nerf Maras and Snipers *soon*, and they're literally nerfing Sentinels in the very next major patch. But no nerf to Snipers? Implying that they're still working on it.

Then, there's Musco's post which said how they plan on bringing lots of small incremental updates, as opposed to giant, once a year buff and nerf cycle.

Finally, except the change to Balance Sages, every other change has involved melee DPS and tanks. Looking back at the last two points I raised, this implies that the next patch will involve ranged classes and healing.

Definitely makes sense and assuming they keep that promise of doing patches on the scale of 1-3 months rather than 6-12 months the game will be much better off. But it all hinges on the developers keeping a promise that they have time and time again made and failed to keep.

I suppose then, that by making the ACs that received no changes (ranged/healers) at the front of the line for the next class rep questions, they're trying to see how the ranged/healers respond to the melee changes. I think for the most part, the questions will be mostly the same since melees have pretty much universally been the dominant force in SWTOR.

My merc usually doesn't survive the knockdown. I don't have anything like force camo. Your advice only applies to some classes. Just pointing that out.

But you have a 4-sec stun right? Use it maybe? You'e ranged, you are given tools to stay away from the melees. Although Mercs do need more tools to survive melee, it's still possible.

I'm more worried about Sorcs. Do they even survive long enough to CC a Sin? :o

The tools we have aren't enough to escape from melée that actually know what they're doing, and have decided that you're a problem that needs dealing with.

ElectroDart needs to be back to 30 (or even 35-40) metres* ASAP, and we need an escape-move similar to the Snipinger's dive-roll. Use that frigging rocket-engine strapped to our backs, ya know.

*I have never, to this day, seen what I would consider a sensible rationale for that utterly criminal range-nerf. Or, that I can recall, any rationale at all. I could go on --this combat/PvP dev-team needs to be given 30 minutes to clean out their desks before security escorts them from the building IMHO-- but I try not to let that faze me too much anymore, because I don't have enough hands to give them the amount of face-palms that they're worthy of.

Oh, and it looks like Sorc/Sage is, at last, officially broken.
