Hey Kenji!

 

Contra Sanctus is going to start posting some of their progression achievements in here soon (even though a good majority of them need to be reaccomplished since I'm not sure anyone was taking very definitive photos that qualify for this thread), but there is something I would like to completely clear up before we do so:

 

The current progression team features me as the main tank, on my assassin. Since my assassin is not in Contra Sanctus (The Dread Masters), would we have to post up our clear photos with a tag like "Contra Sanctus + Zu" or would be ok if we just put "Contra Sanctus"?

 

Either or is not a problem for anyone, but I'd like to clarify that up if the rules are pretty strict on this part :)

 

Also, judging by what I have read, it appears no one has cleared 16 man SM Dread Palace. So if it's not too much trouble, may I post this screenshot as Contra's reintroduction to the progression thread, with the server first clear? :)

Again, we had me as one of the tanks and 2 members of Scion of Ziost present for the clear. We are more than happy to give credit where it's due if that's something that needs to be addressed, but I can vouch for myself and the two Scion members being ok with just Contra's name up there :)

Typical form would be to come up with a name for the progression raid, i.e. Contra + friends, or The Dreadful Contras of Scion.

 

However as this is Kenji's thread he can decide whether to allow this as a true Contra clear.

 

BTW Congrats on the 16 man clear

Congrats on the 16man SM clear, that fight's quite a challenge even for a story mode, much less a 16man!

 

And to the question, since it was only 3 out of 16 pugged, it can be counted towards Contra Sanctus' clear :)

 

Here's the Guild Clear Claims section from Progression Rules:

Guild Clear Claims - As long as more than 75% of the operation size consists of guild members, the clear can be counted towards a guild clear. If the minimum requirement isn't met, it can only be counted towards an operation group.

We just downed HM Styrak tonight for the first time, with a Contra clear in 8 man:

Also, I've done some searching and digging along with talking to the other guild members, and we haven't gotten very definitive screenshots of our kills, so we'll just be posting in here whenever we reaccomplish our ops ^^;

I shall count the clear towards Contra Sanctus for now, but your post also brings up a valid point of discussion:

A guild that hasn't been following the progression thread now chooses to participate in the progression thread, how should the guild's previous clears be recognized?

 

Here's what I came up with, with the ☐ being incomplete and ☑ being complete, I shall introduce ☒ as Complete but Unconfirmed.

 

Since the progression, being Hard Mode, is forced to be linear (no skipping bosses), I can only assume that a guild must've cleared all the bosses prior to the given current boss cleared. So they will be marked as ☒ until the guild has re-clear'd the content and provide satisfactory evidence.

The Order of Sixty-Six made a truncated run at DP 8m SM this week, so we didn't have quite enough time to even start an attempt on the final encounter. We did go 4/5 otherwise.

I'll simply assume that Ascension is claiming a server ranked on the clear even though it isn't explicitly expressed :)

 

Also, since it is Nightmare Content, please post the clears prior to Thrasher. It is quite a sensitive subject and, while I'm giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, tradition of the thread dictates that progression is about progressing through bosses by their intended order.

 

I shall await more good news, and welcome back to the Progression Thread, Ascension.

Of course. We've had Titan 6 on farm for a while, and after our Sunday kill of thrasher we downed operations chief aswell. I'm at school right now, so all I can provide you with are acheivment pictures when I get home.. Or a picture of my lockouts this week, as we killed Titan last night. UTC clocks are for the weak, however. :)

Contra made progression in DF HM yesterday night, clearing Draxus for the first time. Will post a picture of Nefra next Tuesday when we clear him again:

Howdy folks,

 

First off, congrats on the clears, thread is now updated.

 

Second, DoA and DL collaborated and cleared up to the 4th boss in HM Dread Fortress 16man! We also give thanks to Ophi and Charcan from Infamous!

DISCLAIMER:

Doomed on Arrival (operation group) is also claiming server ranked, they will be marked as server first until others have claimed earlier clear times on 16man. I am well aware of another guild clearing some of the 16man HM DF bosses prior to this night, but they will need to be posted before I can do anything :).

Quite impressive! When the fight first came out, a lot of guilds(not on this server) were going in with 5 dps because they could not beat the enrage timer. So it is solo tankable. I remember that one time I did nightmare Dg with you guys and dath told me to step in more **** for he could get higher heals! Now that is a good healer.

While impressive, DWBI already has a recorded progression on HM Styrak, so.. :rak_02:

Yes... yes he is. It is better then it was...

 

You don't even want to know how many times I cursed out the DPS for not interrupting Mass Affliction. Once or twice I can just about handle (assuming people are close to full health). When I am pulling an average of 3.5k HPS on this fight it is a little annoying when mechanics are missed.
