    New FP

If you kill the last boss and then your group gets subsequently killed by the adds the game puts you back to the beginning of the FP on the train and you cannot get back to the end.
  2. Slightly out of date info, but I don't believe they changed anything in the patches http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=756664
  3. Used to do this on BC in the old days...... To be fair haven't really got into raiding much in the new content, but I approve of what you are doing, this is a great community builder and helps the server in the long run. If you ever need a bad dps or terrible healer give me a shout Oh and hey Thorazine
  4. I may move a few of the Nabis to Harby (have been thinking about if for awhile), not enough PVPers or PVEers left on BC, the discounted cost is too tempting. For all those who stay on BC thanks for all the fun.......and drama...... ~N
  5. The days of co-ordinated players Lots of very good players on both sides, pity most have left the game.
  6. Thanks ZuZu (or SparkleTank) for all the memories. I have stepped back quite a bit in my SWTOR life as my job has pushed me more to pretend I know what I am doing. Was very entertaining the last couple of years seeing the posts back and forth. See you on fleet.........
  7. I heard Season 5 rewards allow you to choose which guild to disband (or was that the conquest points rewards for the week)
  8. We will find out sooner rather than later if he is a true class leader. Sorry I wasn't there to challenge him on his knowledge.
  9. I am still willing to help people in whatever way I can. I typically frequent the imp side and while I am not the best at any aspect of the game I am willing to impart whatever knowledge I have or any help people need if I am able to. If you can't find me ask one of the dark hunters or send me an n game mail to my main n'abi and I will get back to you promptly.
  10. Or you can make sure you don't focus your friends in ranked so you can win trade. Not saying that this happens but there are a few suspicious looking graphs in the top 10 of solo ranked.
  11. Posting healing parses is not that constructive as already said. The deal with healers is how well they work in tandem (in the case of 8s) and how well they anticipate the defensive cooldowns of the tanks they are healing. For most of the current content the pair of healers should be pulling in: - 2k EHPS for SM content (so 1k each) - 4k EHPS for HM content (so 2k each) - 6k EHPS for NM content (so 3k each) assuming 8M content, for 16M knock about 500 EHPS off those numbers these are just rule of thumb numbers because each fight is different, mechanics heavy fights are more reliant on the DPS being in the right position and therefore not taking as much damage. As a healer it is usually obvious when people do not use defensive cooldowns or not position themselves accordingly. For instance if I throw down a cuddle puddle, cuddle up. Over time good healers begin to learn how their tanks think and can determine when it is safe to top off other people. As has already been mentioned as well by Nemio in some fights (most notably tight DPS checks) the healers have to pull some DPS. I remember doing HM Styrak back in the days where the healing and DPS numbers were very tight (off course this was in mainly 156 gear), nowadays with DPS pulling 4k the healers barely have to think about DPS (although I did get 6 DPS on HE on Fri )
  12. Huge shoutout to PVPers who know how to use their interrupts on healers and put pressure on marked targets. Seriously thanks to all that continue to make the PVP scene what it is, we will eventually get back to the glory days of the healers doing 2 mill+ heals and the DPSers doing 1.5mill+ damage. I can see that there are a few more PVPers stepping up to the plate. Just remember always blame Nabi (I mean the healers)
  13. Hey Kitchen, I will q this week on Tues imp side. If no pops happen I will pop onto one of my pub toons.
  14. Camel, thanks again for doing this. Sorry I could not attend last night, I will try to make the next summit and spread the word around the PVPers to see whom they want to send. In general the more the news of this spreads around the server the more likely we are going to get active participation. Hell even the people who don't want to participate can whisper people that they know attended. Overall it is nice that representatives of the pubs and imps are working together for the betterment of the server. Now we need to wait for BW to give us that joint Operation we have been asking for.
  15. After spending a little time on pubside the last week or so I have noticed a more cordial atmosphere and that people are generally trying to help each other. Now I can't say that this is true in the leveling aspect but at endgame it is very noticeable. The pubside now kind of reminds me how the impside was pre 2.0. Also not entirely sure that the impbasics/pubbasics channels have gone down well as I haven't seen a single call for help in either channel when I have been on, eventhough they were heavily pushed for the first couple of days. Maybe ZuZu is correct and people just don't want help, or don't actively seek it. Thanks to all on imp side who ran solo ranked on Sunday, I noticed the STI crew were cleaning up as most of the time 2 or 3 of them were on the same side, but it was nice to see pops happening more frequently. There still seems to be a lot of people (talent?) that may not have any idea that the summits are happening or how to get in touch with guild leaders/experienced players but hopefully that will change in due course, as well as the general attitude on our server. BTW, Camel can you put me down as missing for this weekends summit. I will be out of town and may not make it back in time.
  16. {Seal waves flipper} This is not the club you are looking for....
  17. They must have marked you with saber, target and star
  18. I am fine qing whenever with whomever. If people are serious about yolo ranked then lets schedule some times. Typically I have found that most pops have been available on Sundays, late afternoon, early evening say 6-8PM. I only stop qing when the pops become infrequent I have never stopped because X, Y, Z player is queued or because pubs started qing. So I propose we start setting up a scheduled time for this, Sun 7-whenever would suit me. Also if you see me on fleet just holler and I will try to get something started on the imp side.
  19. Group ranked is more about having the right players to tank and heal and that is why there are so few people doing group ranked. Unless you are an operative healer or have a decent tank (and it takes a different mindset to play a PVP tank well) you are not going to be competitive, which Mev as you say is the fault of not enough people grouping up and learning. I personally would do group ranked more, but my preferred play style and the fact that sorcs are too squishy in a 4v4 environment unless we go hybrid and are typically the 1st target to go down does not work. The only reason I am competitive in Solo ranked is due to lack of co-ordination on the other side. I sometimes yearn for the old days when WZs were a lot more competitive and people were teaching pugs how to play the WZ. The trolling that goes on nowadays and the level of maturity is basically putting off people from getting into WZs or even turning people away from the game. I am sure I am seeing this with rose-tinted glasses but at some point when the game is no longer fun to play people leave. I personally have seen a lot of very good players from both PVE and PVP backgrounds leave this game due to the community and not necessarily due to anything BW has done. But this is for another conversation. I think when we bring up PVP at the summit we could talk about ranked for hours, lets just hope our ego's don't get in the way. To me the general purpose of these kinds of summits is to show people that there are people willing to help you, whether it be in the PVE, PVP or RP side of the game and that although the vocal minority does exist and that trolls will still troll the majority of the people I know from the community have the servers best interest in mind.
  20. Thank you fro DWBI for hosting this and keeping it moderated.
  21. port number for Cavehs TS is 9174 not 9164
  22. Echoing the sentiment of most players I think Tier 1 in the region of 1550-1600 would be more apt, Tier 2 1400-1550 and Tier 3 1300+. This would be more in line with rewarding the appropriate players, although I still think this should be server based as otherwise you will end up with the majority of the rewards going only to TOFN and Bastion.
  23. So right now we have for Tier 1: - 5 Jugs/Guardians - 4 Sents/Maras - 22 Shadows/Sins - 45 Sage/Sorcs - 19 PowerTechs/Vanguards - 8 Mando/Mercs - 5 Slingers/Snipers - 18 Scoundrels/Ops Total: 126 players at Tier 1 now.out of ~14000 players with a ranking so Tier 1 is approximately the top 1% of players. That is probably how they chose their break points for the Tiers. Hmm, I wonder which classes were the most powerful this season Basically Madness Sorcs/Sins, Healing Scoundrels/Operatives and Pyros Now if we could just get other servers to pop TOFN: 3262 (23.2%) Bastion: 2202 (15.7%) POT5: 1780 (12.7%) TRE: 1213 (8.6%) T3-M4: 1056 (7.5%) Ebon Hawk: 912 (6.5%) Jung Ma: 723 (5.1%) Jedi Covenant: 712 (5.1%) Harb: 600 (4.3%) Progenitor: 569 (4.0%) Shadowlands: 426 (3.0%) Darth Nihilus: 419 (3.0%) Mantle of the Force: 287 (1.6%) BC: 195 (1.4%) So we can see from this that TOFN and Bastion are the best for Solo PVP (no surprise here as they are the main PVP servers) and BC and Mantle are the worst as far as player participation. So obviously it will be easier to get pops on the higher participation servers which in turn will skew the Tier1 rewards accordingly. I would favor rewarding Tier1 based of off server and do the distribution accordingly, i.e. - tier 1: top 5% - tier 2: 6-50% - tier 3: 51-100% and if a player transfers server mid-season they lose their rating and have to start again (this is to prevent people transferring from PVP servers to RP servers right at the end to get into Tier1). This will also prevent people hitting 1650 (or whatever) and then stopping queuing, thereby killing the pops for everyone else as it is in distribution. To prevent the win trading you would have to monitor spikes in activity, i.e. if a player goes on a massive W/L ration record and does it all in 1 night, especially towards the end of the season. Now obviously I am biased seeing as I play on the lowest participation server, BC.
