main-hand hilt not transferring to offhand weapon?

Anyone else having a problem transferring the hilt from a mainhand weapon and using it in the offhand weapon? We used to be able to do it prior to 2.0 and in fact the description of the mainhand hilt says it can be used in mainhand and offhand weapons.

Hilts, barrels, and armorings are locked to slots they came out of these days, I think. Offhilt to offhilt, chest to chest etc.

"these days" as in after 2.0? i didn't see anything mentioned about that in the notes. The old WH hilts still work in the offhand although they were purchased in a mainhand weapon.

Offhand is bound to offhand.

Mainhand bound to mainhand.

This is intentional.

The hilt description states "This Hilt can be used to upgrade your force weapons and offhand items." The first weapon I bought said that on the hilt and I assume it can be equipped in the offhand, wouldn't you think so?

Patch notes from 2.0. Under Items and Economy, General:

Extracted level 51+ Armoring modifications of Artifact Quality and higher now become bound to the type of gear the mod was extracted from (Chest, Legs, Head, etc).[/Quote]

 

It applies to Hilts/barrels as well, since they occupy the same slot in their respective gear.
