  1. As for joysticks, People need to know that to use one it would HAVE to be configured to affect basically pitch and yaw, NOT roll. The way aiming works, you couldn't put yaw on the keyboard because keyboards do 100% or 0%, and you need incremental amounts. Also worth noting, compared to craft in other flight games, the aiming reticle is not directly in front of your ship from pilot's perspective (as with fighters in other games) but rather it is where you place it in your firing circle. Your ship will always such that, if it were possible, the reticle will come in front of your ship (make sense?). Basically, to everyone accustomed to using joysticks, it'd be weird as hell and not intuitive.
  2. There shouldn't be any reason for you to pull aggro if you are using your dump right. I'm Watchman and I usually go thru my opener (which includes leap, master strike, cauterize, overload saber and twin saber throw) then dump, then proceed to dump on cooldown. I only pull about 5 seconds after my opener if I don't dump. I'd say if you are pulling even when using your opener right after your opener, then give the tanks 2-3 globals on the boss (not counting gap closer) and then go. If that delay means your group won't down the boss then there are bigger issues with your groups DPS than just you.
  3. His work is specifically for PvE. For PvP I believe you only need 5% bonus accuracy. and you have to balance Expertise in there as well.
  4. I'm pretty sure I can come up with a handful of people who might be well aware of this stuff, but just don't care. They enjoy being toxic and causing a ruckus. People get too heated about a g'damn video game. Either play it, relax and enjoy it or don't and just leave. Do you ever see people continue to drive cars they hate just to talk about how much said car sucks and that they hate it?
  5. We all know that the PvE SA relics and the PvP can stack with each other (and I'm pretty sure double proc off self healing and damage done to others). I'm a Watchman Sent, so I've enjoyed this bug, but I also know it's a bug since such an interaction was fixed prior. I'm wondering if this is intended (since it's is happening after a prior fix), and if not, when a fix might come. Frankly, it's no fun to just get 2 of the same type of relic. Side Note: Why no Damage proc relics in the new tier?
  6. As I see it, these are the people who make an effort to "brag" about how they've unsubbed. Congrats, you've moved on...so, y'know, move on.
  7. We did this blind yesterday on SM 8 man and wiped more than 4 times (very strange to figure out when you're tired and inebriated) and we never had this bug manifest.
  8. Watching Severity Gaming down the Hateful Entity (SV secret boss) we saw a legendary drop, but that's the only one currently AFAIK.
  9. Groups require it so they can be organized. So that you can hear something being called out. It helps to prevent it from becoming a cluster****. If you're not in voice chat it is usually assumed that a wipe is your fault, since you are unaware what everyone else is talking about/doing.
  10. Seriously dude, can you respond to anything in a mature, objective and non-condescending manner? You keep saying how you are able to play Combat/Carnage in a way that it would appear no one else does, but have yet to provide any details. I know I'm no as good as y'all so I can't speak for or against most of what is being said. But for the love of god, imagine you are talking to them face to face and become civil.

  12. Again, BW can't win. If they hadn't offered a CCs for those who recently bough ROtHC, you a would have *****ed. They tried to counter that, and you STILL *****. You have no ground to stand on.
  13. I forget, what type of damage is Doom? Would Saber Ward help at all?

  15. Same for me on my Miraluka sentinel. I also submitted a bug report in game 2 days ago.
  16. They fixed the PvP relics double proccing, I'd wager it's only a matter of time until they do the same here.
  17. You mean the Phase Walk talent. You're calling the ability good and disregarding that all the benefits you laud are due to a talent.
  18. Carnage and Rage are better for open world than Anni. But all trees really come into their own once you get your top tree skill.

  20. I know that Ino Style has a marvelous spreadsheet on WM/Combat (find him/it at MMO-Mechanics) and models for damage where I'm fairly certain he always has 4 and 5 abilities under PS. He hasn't put down the Combat order that his models use like he has for a fair bit of WM. I'll PM you a link to his MMO-Mechanics profile, which has a link to his spreadsheets (which i think he has to grant people access to). Anyway, thanks a ton for all this. Given how Dispatch and Precision Slash function (enabling an extra attack under PS), how has that changed the PS "blocks" as outlined, since reading through it doesn't seem to taken into account. I'm wondering how KBN and others who are much more experienced with Combat than I have altered their play. Or if consistent use of that screws up the timing of Combat.
  22. It's probably better to wait and give them a well thought and precise question rather than simple throw something at them just to do it. That said, isn't part of the appeal of Combat/Carnage is that it doesn't have as solidified a "rotation" compared to WM/Anni or Focus/Rage? There is a degree of randomness that the other trees lack and it adds another element that a skillful player must work with. Would that be worth giving up to make the tree more predictable and static? Yes it could make the slow moments better, but wouldn't it also diminish the moments when everything lines up perfectly?
