You could have the holocron in front of you on the ground and then sit cross legged in front of an ancient Sith Lord of choice. Jedi don't have/aren't allowed to use holocrons, so they'd need something else if they were light side. Perhaps an apparition could appear, an erstwhile Jedi master or something.
