  1. When I first started my cybertech I'd already heard that you could make speeders with it, so I imagined that would be quite cool. As soon as I checked out what kind of speeders though...i was disappointed. Only one for each tier!? Why not make speeders that drop(!), RE'able by cybertechs. the mats costs are already quite pricey, and thats for good reason. Notice how I mention DROPS only, cause of course Cartel Market speeders would be out of the question. Examples of speeders that would qualify: Longspur Scout from Malestrom Prison/Foundry Dessler Turbo from EV/KP HM Tirsa Elite from EV/KP SM Praxon Bloodline from EC HM (probably exclude the NiM speeders such as Helix Hyperpod, Titan 6 Containment Vehicle and Praxon Firaxa, since obtaining them is also quite an achievement) Another exception to this would be speeders from vendors, especially the ones which require reputation with a certain faction to obtain, like the Czerka Executive Cruiser or Tirsa Champion. This would give cybertech a bit more along the lines of actually crafting speeders(still now an insane amount...), albeit a pricey endeavor. It would also give the speeder a bit more use except for being vendor trash when nobody in the group actually wants the speeder... Any thoughts?
  2. Reading through the Sorc forum, I've noticed that people, obviously, like various builds of Sorc DPS(Ligtning, Madness or Hybrid). And while most topics are about PvP, I'm here to discuss PvE. I prefer Madness in PvE and in my attempts to play as Lightning(guildies told me it was stronger. more bursty) I've found it underwhelming and the parses ended up lower then the damage I do in Madness. A thing that I did find very strange is that, as a Madness Sorc I know my Force fluctuates and i need to Consume before almost every Deathfield to keep up my Force(my healers love me in long boss fights...) As a Lightning Sorc you could just as well not have a Force bar at all. the term 'Force Issues' is completely unknown to Lightning Sorcs. Now is this just me, or does this seem totally 'unfair' and 'out of balance'? Madness has the following Force regeneration buffs: - Sith Efficacy: Force Lightning damage restores 1% of your Force - Lightning Burns: Force Lightning(20%) and Lightning Strike(60%) have a chance to apply Lightning Burns which restores 2 Force after a second - Focal Lightning: Force Lightning(20%) and Lightning Strike(100%) have a chance to grant 1% alacrity(stack 4 times) - speeds up casting and Force regeneration Lightning has these Force regeneration buffs: - Subversion: Lightning Strike increases your Force Regen by 10% for 10 secs(stacks 3 times) - Lightning Effusion: Force criticals make your next two Fore abilities cost 75% less - Lightning Storm: Thundering Blast(60%) and Force Storm(20%) make Chain Lightning costs no Force Now I am well aware that on top of these Force regeneration buffs Madness also has the following Health Regen buffs to compensate for the health loss of Consume(but you are still left with the regeneration debuff): - Parasitism: Critical hits from your periodic damage abilities restore 1% health - Deathfield: heals you for 1% per target(up to 5) - Devour: Increases the health restored from Deathfield by 100% Small bit of math here: Consume: 15% health for 8% Force with a 25% regeneration debuff for 10secs. Now can we regain 15% health in 10secs, assuming we don't want to receive multiple stacks of Consume? - Multiple targets: Deathfield restores 10% HP(5 hits, 2% per hit with Devour), so we only need 5 DoT crits in 10secs and with 25% crit, this is easy - Single target(boss fight): Deathfield restores only 2% HP, so we need 13 crits from DoTs in 10secs and with 25% crit, this is much harder. Now, we have three DoTs; Crushing Darkness(8secs), Creeping Terror(18secs) and Afliction(18secs). So in the span of 10secs we have 3x8secs+2x2secs=28 DoT ticks, with a 25% crit chance this means 7 Crits...so ONLY 7% health regeneration on single target, not 13% To me these two are in an entirely different league. the regeneration buffs in Lightning are so much better, it doesn't even compare. I would suggest buffing the Force regeneration from Madness so it is more maintainable in long boss fights without massive use of Consume. a buff such as Lightning Burns restoring 2% Force instead of just 2 Force - (2% = 10/12 Force (depending on 'Reserves') OR/AND Force Lightning restoring more then 1% (5%?) Force per tick Let me know what you think...
  3. I was not aware of it being a part of a set of Social armor... I wasn't clear on this before, but what I meant was to have it added to a new Cartel Pack, not available as a stand alone item.
  4. I was thinking that since you see a lot of NPC's around with slave collars around their necks, why not make it available in the Cartel Market. I think people would be quite interested in it for various reason. Put in on a companion, yourself, for RP purposes or something. think about it...
  5. I've been thinking about this for a bit ever since 2.0 hit and the Columi weapon disappeared from the game. With the removal of these weapons Bioware has also made the Cyan(Republic) and Purple(Empire) Color crystals unobtainable. So unless you still had a few in your cargobay, acquiring these colors is no longer possible. Since Artifice is the skill that crafts color crystals and 2.0 didn't introduce any new ones to craft, I propose that Artifice could gain the schematics for crafting Cyan and Purple Crystals! Currently the most difficult crystals to craft are the Magenta ones, so lets start from there. Magenta Crystal - 8x Lorrdian Gemstone - 2x Pristine Adegan Crystal - 8x Corusca Gem - 1x Meganta Adegan Crystal My suggestion for the new colors would be an adaptation of this, hard to craft, crystal. for the Cyan color, simply add 4x Blue Polychromic Crystals and for the Purple 4x Red Polychromic Crystal This would make these crystals hard to craft and expensive to sell/buy, so getting these crystals would require some effort or a large pile of credit chips. And I haven't even spoken about how the Schematics could be obtained. Maybe make them drop from Toborro's Courtyard...or Scum & Villainy(Maybe even Hard Modes only...) So, any thoughts?
  6. Sith and Jedi ranks as follows: Sith Acolyte = Jedi Youngling/Hopefull (<-- Start point of the Sith storylines)) Sith Apprentice = Jedi Padawan (<-- Start point of the Jedi storylines) Sith Lord = Jedi Knight Darth = Jedi Master The Sith start out as Acolytes, with minimal training and no Master yet. The Jedi on the other hand is already preparing for his final Trials as a Padawan. He/She has already had multiple Masters and is therefor also Knighted after the Prologue. During the entire game(except endgame ofcourse) the Sith and Jedi are never on the same page. Sith are Acolytes during the Prologue, where the Jedi are already Padawans. During Chapter one, Sith are Apprentices but the Jedi are already Knight. Chapter Two then turns the Jedi into Masters(Lightside choices, not sure about Guardians/Sentinels) but Sith into Lords. Jedi are done and can't get any higher at this point, where the Sith become Darth at the end of their Chapter Three For as far as I've read, Consulars could get the title "of the Jedi Council" as you take Master Syo's place in the Jedi Council and Dark Side Knight could get the 'General" title instead of "Master", but these are no longer obtainable
  7. For recuperating ones energy and health. - Jedi Holocron; blue/cyan light and cube shaped - Sith Holocron: red light and pyramid shaped (also a purple variant would be possible) The Holocron could be held in one hand, two hands(like the Life Day Orb) or maybe even levitate slightly
  8. Thana Vesh(Taris) wears the armor with the hood down Vokk(The Esseles and Lord Rathari(Nar Shaddaa, Sith Warrior story) wear the version with the hood up Also, This armor is similar to the (old) Battlemaster armor for Warriors, but then without the tubing and shoulder spikes Darth Marr of the Dark Council weasr this armor, but then in a red(unique) variant I would like to see this added to the wardrobe selection at some point...
  9. Well, the model is in the game. Makeb is littered with 2-man Korrealis
  10. While I was looking through Wookieepedia, I came across Maris Brood. In Star Wars; The Force Unleashed, Maris Brood had a pet Bull Rancor. So I thought that it would be nice addition to the Cartel Market. And of course, It couldn't be the giant life size Rancor(not to mention a Bull Rancor), but about as small as the Baby Drouk from Section X Something along the lines of a Baby Rancor, Rancor Hatchling, Rancor Newborn, etc...(and a few variations of course. Preferably a Bull Rancor variant too)
  11. As the Crime Lord's Cartel Pack holds the Mask of Nihilus and the Blockade Runner's Cartel Pack contains the Mask of Revan, why not continue along this line and make the new Cartel Pack(whenever it is released) contain the Mask of Adraas. It is a cool looking mask(IMO) which looks quite different from the other two currently obtainable through the Cartel Market any thoughts?
  12. Voss - Will never happen. Just take a look at the story line surrounding the Voss and you will notice that they aren't aligned with Republic or Empire and that they have no desire to leave they planet and their Mystics. In the same fashion, we won't be able to play as Rakata or Gree either... Yoda's race - Will never happen per Lucas' order Togruta - very likely and in high demand (+1 from me aswell) Nautulan - more or less the same story Selkath - bit of an underdog but a very nice race imo (+1 from me) Kaleesh - same story...maybe a bit less in demand Jawa, Wookiee, Trandoshian, etc - Will never happen because they can't wear any armor and/or don't speak Basic Anything else?
  13. Pod Racing was not yet invented in this time. The best thing that would come close are Swoop races. as for the space pvp, sounds good. Also Space Heroic 2+ or Heroic 4 would be cool...
  14. Of all my characters, I don't have a single one at Valor 60, nor do I know anyone in my guild who has it. I'm not a hardcore pvp'er and only occasionally have a bit of fun doing it. Yes I know that this seems like whining because I don't want to put any effort into this, sorry for that. At Valor 60 I could walk around in full Warhero, if not Elite Warhero...so it seems like a rather extreme requirement for a Battlemaster robe. I would accept Valor 20 or 30 or maybe even 40, but 60! But I see that my request will never get heard...so never mind....
  15. This is about a Sith Inquisitor's robe in particular. With the removal of Battlemaster armor, SWTOR has lost a set of moddable armor which some of us really liked. I'm very keen on aesthetics in this game, and think that my character needs to walk around in a robe that I like is very important I liked the Battlemaster Stalker/Survivor robe for the Sith Inquisitor, but I was not yet at level 50 when this particular set was removed from the game. There is an NPC in game which wears a robe which is similar, but even prettier in my opinion then the Battlemaster robe. This is worn by the Lightside vendor on the Imperial fleet. The main difference is the lack of the rather large shoulder pads and recolor. I've never been fond of large shoulder pads...So i'd prefer this version of the robe (but ignore the headgear...) Aesthetics are a big deal for players, and maybe even more for players on RP servers. So I would ask you, BW, to add this robe to the game(its already in there anyway). Even if added to the Cartel Market, it would make a good fashionable addition to the current wardrobe selection(especially with the loss of Battlemaster armor).
  16. Yes, that is true...and i like that very much. On the other hand...there aren't 1000's of Darth Noxes(or the neutral/light variant)...that would be kind of weird.
  17. Revan was never his real name(He said so himself after the Maelstrom Prison Flashpoint) and Darth Malak was born by the name of Alek...
  18. +1 on the miniskirts (or equivalent) It would add a bit more variety to the outfit choices. Logically they should be Light Armor, but making them Adaptive makes sure that everyone can change their appearance to what they want. (I would like a miniskirt for my type 1 female Sith Marauder...she's girly like that)
  19. Another issue that is most likely already addressed multiple times, but I want to get it off my chest. Sith have a rather unique situation when it comes down to their names. I probably won't even need to explain, but I will for those not who didn't read up on Sith Lore; When ever a Stih receives the title of Darth he will assume a new life, a new identity and shed himself of his past life and even name. (Best example of this; Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader in 'Revenge of the Sith') Yet, ingame, this option is not available and you have to either chose your endgame name from the get-go or become Darth John whatshisname. Why not add this option to the game? Make it so that when you are named Darth in your storyline you get the option of choosing a new name to go with your newly acquired title and status. (not unlike your Legacy name, right?) Since it's rather unfair for the other classes, why not add the option to get a (awe inspiring) nickname as a Bounty Hunter or Smuggler. (The Scarlet Striker, Blue Death, Pink Fluffy Killer...or whatever you think is suitable for your character) For Jedi this is difficult...can't think of anything at the moment (Suggestions) Troopers...well...not a clue
  20. First of all, there are probably numerous posts about this already, but I'd like to point this out again Schematic drops from Operations(maybe even Hard Mode Flashpoints too, but not sure) that are of the Tionese gear level are BoP, where Columi and Rakata are BoE. Why? My Bountyhunter's crewskill is Cybertech and I found a 'Schematic; Tionese Cupoercommando's Device'(earpiece) a short while back while doing the Eternity Vault on Story Mode. And since this particular device is no longer useful for me or my companions i would like to sell it/give it to one of my alts/pass it on to one of my guildmembers or friends. If it had been a Columi or Rakata earpiece this would've been possible...but now(it's even weaker gear) i can't. (The GTN on my server is full of people trying to sell Columi/Rakata Implants/Earpieces, but no one can sell the Tionese versions) Is this intentional? if so, why? Please make these items BoE....
  21. Visas Marr was a Miraluka ...and a Darth title comes with a new name. the old life is discarded and the new one begins upon achieving the title of Darth. (e.g. Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader or Palpatine became Darth Sidious). Following this tradition is is highly plausible that Darth Marr has no connection to Visas whatsoever. (would be funny, but its just to much of a stretch)
  22. On the other hand, Jedi are not allowed to have children to avoid getting powerful Force-sensitive family lines, which could result in a a power imbalance within the Order. Also, through out the history of the Order there have been various changes in the policy regarding children. At moments when the Order was very small and threatened then jedi were encouraged to have chldren, but during times of wealth and prosperity(like say, duirng Episode I) Jedi were forbidden to have children. The Order isn't as rigid as it might seem and policies tend to change over the course of time, in light of the situation...
  23. It's good to read your criticism and i will be glad to reply... It seems rather logical that this should not be the only 3rd advanced class. the other classes should also have another one...but this is purely about the Trooper As for the Assault Cannon. Why not give a possible 3rd Advanced Class for the Bounty Hunter an Assault Cannon. Call it the Brute(or something) Specialization. The reason I posted this was not because I wanted an Agent on the republic side, but I wanted the Trooper to be a bit more versatile. Trropers make up the bulk of the Republic Army and they have all kinds of special training to make sure they can perform a variety of duties and cope woth a variety of enemies(such as Sith). I also thouht that having the Sniper(and Assault Cannon for that matter) restricted to one side was rather strange...
  24. I am very well aware of that... However, the Trooper would wear Heavy Armor and be more soldiery(class quest) The Agent is a spy...a James Bond, the Trooper...isn't besides, there isn't a class that can wield a Sniper Rifle on the Republic side yet...
  25. I'm sure i'm not the first nor the only one to suggest a new class or advanced class, but I will anyway. If you disagree, let me know. Do try to stay civilized however. Trooper Advanced Class: Marksman*. Weapon Proficiency: Sniper Rifle Proficiency: Generator (maybe even Vibroknife) Stealth Belt As with every other advanced class, there should be two unique skill trees and a shared one. The shared will be known to all of you; Assault Specialist. For the other two trees i've though of something... 1ste tree: Sniper*. (DPS) Focus on long range combat and not being a target 2nd tree: Infiltrator* (Burst DPS). Focus on using the stealthbelt to get behind the enemy lines and strike where it hurts the most. *I just made these names in a few minutes and something similar could also be used... With an Advanced class like this the variety of Troopers will increase and people will be able to even better chose the style of soldier they want to be. Additions to the concept are more then welcome... And don't forget, it's just an idea...
