The answer to your question is that these colors will now come from Reverse Engineering! The patch note reads:

Artifice now allows players to Reverse Engineer the following Advanced Indestructible, Advanced Hawkeye, and Advanced Eviscerating color crystals:

  • Black-Blue

  • Black-Red

  • Cyan

  • Purple

Cyan and Purple were supposed to be craftable in update 1.2, but they weren't.

Will we ever get purple with PvE stats available to the Republic? Or Cyan with PvE stats for the Empire?

Right now, the ONLY way to get a purple PvE crystal is to be an Imperial player and extract it from a Columni or better weapon.

The reverse is also true for Cyan.

But where will we get the Cyan and Purple crystals to Reverse Engineer? The Black-Blue and Black-Red were listed as being dropped in the new Scum & Villainy Operation in the 2.0 patch notes, but no mention was made of the Cyan or Purple crystals.

Will there be a failure rate? Or will one Purple Crystal be enough to learn the Schematic?

Isn't the new RE rate 10%, meaning that you'd have to have a lot of crystals (or a lot of balls) to RE in the hope of a schematic?

Is it the 20% chance thing?

I'm looking at a Black-Purple Eviscerating Crystal and it says I have a 20% chance to reverse engineer. Can Black-Purple's be R/E'd or is it a bad tool-tip?

It's a shame that those gears were removed, they could at least leave them to be sold as empty shells.

Maybe do a reputation system to acquire them..something like that, but not remove them from the game.
