Missing Heroic Space Mission

So usually on Sunday we get the mission to complete Baros+Thanium and the mission for just Thanium, but today the mission for just Thanium is not there.

 

Is this a bug? Is it intentional? Is the mission completely removed? Or did it get switched to Monday? Is there anything in the patch notes about it? I did not see anything.

 

If it got switched to Monday, please switch it back. It is not like it gives us 'extra content' or whatever the reasoning was, because all it means is that we have to do the mission one extra time. We already have to do the mission today, why change it so that we have to do it again tomorrow?

 

Its not the end of the world or anything either way, but I really feel this is a pretty pointless change and think it was better the way it was.

Wait.... So the missions are weekly? I thought they were daily.

 

I noticed some missions missing as well, and even replied to another persons thread on it located here. (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5943371#post5943371)

 

If they are weekly that may make some sense. Of coarse I thought that I did them more than one day in a row. Unless I was just mistaken and had it timed were it reset plus also doing the codex version which are called "Space Combat" as opposed to "Operation". Like for example say I did the "Space Combat Hypori Escort" one day, then the next day I did "Operation Hypori Escort", and it could have reset the next day to allow me to do "Operation Hypori Escort" again. That could be why I thought they were daily.

 

I would really like to know if they are weekly or daily. Also when they are supposed to reset. This way I could know if they are really missing or not.

They are weekly in the sense that you can only get them once per week, but they are daily in the sense that they disappear the next day at 6am regardless of if you completed them or not. Its semantics and has nothing to do with the topic.

 

This thread is to figure out what happened to the mission and why.

So you are saying that if you get the missions and if you do not complete it, it just disappears the next morning at 6 am. That makes no sense because every mission I have select has stayed in my mission log until I did them.

Now if you are saying they just show up for one day and you did not pick it up, then you just missed out and have to wait until next week. That would make more sense to me.

 

In any case I still get "Operation Baros Ambush". I however do not get "Operation Thanium Disruption".

I have not seen a mission that has both Baros + Thanium together.

Well the only somewhat-related notice on patch notes was this:

"Regnant Station Assault: This mission will now grant the proper amount of credits upon completion."

So it may just as well be a bug. It's not the first time that a patch created new bugs, when trying to fix others.

For balance? So now we have to do the same mission on both Sunday and Monday if we want the same reward we used to get for just doing it once? Stupid imo.

Please stop trying to drag the thread off topic.

 

How do you think that I am trying to bring this thread off topic when I to am saying that I am also missing some Heroic Space Missions as well. That is what this thread is about.

 

Plus all I did was try to figure out how often they are supposed to show up which would help me in the understanding the situation by knowing if what I am getting is actually missing them or if I just have to wait for them to reset and reappear. Know this would help in knowing if I am experiencing the same thing as you and others, and would help in proving that the missions are indeed missing.

 

That is in no way bringing the thread off topic. At best it is helping to prove that they are indeed missing which could be a bug or by design. Which is what you are trying to figure out. So it is not off topic. Unless your thread is about something other than that, which would be hard to believe based on what you posted. If it is different please say so, because the way I read your original posting says otherwise to me.

 

After all I to want to find out why I am not getting all my missions in the Mission Terminal as well.

This was the original intent, at least, what the current team believed to be the original intent. They were unaware that two of the weekly missions reset on Sunday, thinking instead they all reset on a different day. Thus this is a fix to make it like they wanted it to be.

Well not really:

Friday: Take Baros ambush, but do NOT do it.

Saturday: Take Escord and do it.

Sunday: Take Baros & Thanium, do only baros

Monday: Take Thanium, do only Thanium.

 

Merger and Thanium will both be completed on Monday... So basically instead of doing 2 missions on Sunday we will do 1 on Sunday and 1 on Monday. So not much difference.

They get deleted from the terminal, NOT your mission log. So as long as you take them and not abandon them you're fine.

Oh really? I thought that people were complaining that they couldn't grab the missions during the week and do them when they wanted and one of the CMs confirmed that they get deleted from your log.

 

Well if thats the case I will just grab the two from Sat. and Sun. and do them on Mon.

Not sure what people are complaining about... Sure knocking both weeklies at the same time was nice but it clearly was odd from the start that we were getting 2 quests at a time and none on the next day.

And no, they don't get removed if you don't do them in 24 hours. No idea where you got that from.

They get removed from the terminal (Quest giver), but not from your quest log (player). Many people confuse the two.
