Yes he is no longer a sith. In fact storywise he should be wearing a BROWN JEDI ROBE, but since most people do not follow or know the full story, they simply made him wear his sith outfit, because that is how people know him. It is clearly based on his sith outfit, they simply did not feel like he was important enough to have a unique model, so they only took an existing model and re-skinned it a bit so it would at least resemble his sith outfit. And don't argue that it is NOT his sith outfit, because IT IS. LOOK HERE. No it's not. There have been green versions of Revan's gear dropping at like lvl ~20 and I've seen NPCs with Revan's gear as early as tatooine, if not earlier. And EVEN if inquisitor's sets were based around Revan's set and not the other way around it does not change the point that IT IS NOT UNIQUE. IT MUST BE UNIQUE.

Oh this thread lives again! Well my opinion remains unchanged: If it is changed to look like it should (as in KOTOR version) then I will be incredibly happy. If it is only "fixed", BUT renamed to whatever else AND in the new pack we get a KOTOR version, then even better. If it is only "fixed", without any kind of addition of REAL (kotor) Revan's outfit then I'm still gonna be disappointed how other kotor characters received proper outfits, while the most important one got the middle finger.

Sigh.... Assassin tank... Assassin tank has more of each secondary stat than guardian. Your "shielding guardian" will never have more shield than assassin no matter how hard he tried. And it's NOT a choice between defence and shield, you'll always get shield in all pieces (except maybe for belt and bracer). It's a choice between defence and nearly useless absorbtion. But whatever, you wanna run around with 10-15% defence, go ahead, I've always been 30% defence, 50% shield, 47% absorb and I'll stay that way. Of course the gear is not high enough for that yet, but it will be at some point again. And when it comes I will not be stacking my absorbtion to ridiculous amounts, until I hit diminishing returns which will make absorbtion stacking useless. As a guardian you have defence bonus, that bonus ignores your rating, no matter how high or low your defence is you will still get the same % of defence from your bonuses. But you have NO absorbtion bonuses. So there is no point in stacking absorbtion above shield at all. I'd rather get my defence to 30% and whatever remains put to absorbtion. Just like I always have, because defence lets me avoid all damage entirely. Not like absorbtion which only matters when shield procs and even then does not negate everything. Like I said before: To make the gearing process take more time. Otherwise a lot more people would say oh I got BIS in 2 weeks, nothign else to do /ragequit.

Even bioware said that once in a very old interview when explaining differences between tanks. Whatever, if you wanna roleplay a trooper with your shield and absorb, go ahead...

What are you talking about? Guardians DO get defence bonuses. In fact defence is the most important stat for guardians. It is impossible to have 0 absorb. You will always have 20% minimum.

From my experience I'd say bad luck. When I was doing flashpoints the only tanking pieces that dropped for me were Defence / Shield Chestpieces. Mods and Enhancements were perfect, but armoring was for dps. But since I knew I'll get tank set armorings from raids I still made good use of those BIS mods and enhancements from all those chests.

Well didn't you know that MMOs are all about removing content (not adding it)? I wonder what will they remove next... will it be another ability that no one supposedly uses, or will it be some armor styles... maybe the entire line of lhosan speeders will get removed.

Well I personally also hate how empire uses REPUBLIC'S uniforms and republic style ships, while the actual Galactic Republic uses crappy looking rebel ships. The reason all these triangle style ships were part of the empire in the movies, was because the empire was a reformed republic. So naturally a lot of republic styles and design carried over. I just can't understand why they felt the need to make the sith empire look like galactic empire and the galactic republic look like rebels...They could have just given the sith empire a new unique design and kept the republic looking as it should. Oh well, at least our troopers look like they should. No wonder a lot of people refer to republic as the rebels in swtor...

So what you want them to make it ~33k with 99% buff? And then upgrade it every time they release new gear? What's the point? They just put a number that's high enough to kill you and that number will not have to be modified with future gear.

Ever think about sentinels and their 99% damage reduction? They have to make sure they can kill those guys too. S&V has similar death for failure mechanics. Multiple of them in fact. For example one "boss" may deploy ridiculously hard hitting turrets for failing a mechanic, another "boss" can summon 2389893259823598239085409412912940129040912904 droids to shoot you down, etc.

Same reason why EVERYTHING has a castbar. (even interacting with a galaxy map)... to waste time. All mmos are about wasting time. It would be very easy and fast if you could just get bis just like that. Now you need to farm at least 5 times longer to get what you need and to get rid of useless stuff like alacrity or accuracy.

Sadly there is no way to understanding from the game itself, the closes thing that could make you understand is from Trooper's story. If you love someone, that means you consider them more important than everyone else. Then what happens if you come to a choice where you have to choose whether to let your loved one die or let a couple of strangers you don't even know die. The choice should be obvious, but you will consider for some time and might even make the wrong choice, because your loved one is more important to you than total strangers. You will fear of losing them and may start doing wrong things. Point is you are in a position of power. You have responsibilities because of that. You cannot go around putting some people above others, instead of viewing everyone equally. If you are not strong enough to resist your primal needs, you do not deserve to have great power (be a jedi) in the first place. At least then you won't be able to commit terrible things out of your fears. And while I think jedi should not be allowed to have a romantic relationship, I'm not against the players being able to have an affair. What I hate is that Jedi Council never finds out and / or doesn't care. All these arguments whether Jedi should be allowed to love or not should be happening IN GAME between your character and Jedi Council. Not here on forums. Maybe I'm just naive if I even expected some kind of 20 minute long philosophical debate with an NPC in an MMO, like we had in Kotor 2 multiple times.
