Because since it is PROVED that simply copying a working installation folder from a computer to another works just fine: PLEASE BIOWARE, LET US DOWNLOAD A WORKING COPY OF THAT INSTALLATION FOLDER. That would solve that crashing patching process for people having trouble like myself (i'm trying to install that gosh darn patch for 48h hours now) while you can investigate and stop wasting our time while we pay !
