From what I experienced, totally free players have it worse than the Preferred people. It was a bit annoying, but they want to limit spam. I didn't notice it impacting it the one time I Grouped with someone, which now that I think about it, is a relief. But I have seen at least one comment of issues with Free players in Subscriber Guilds. I don't have specifics, though, as I didn't experience the problem directly, just read a thread earlier this week where someone mentioned it.
