Personally, I'd like to see Joss Wheden take the job as both writer and director. I'm not a Wheden nut but after watching the firefly series recently I think he could add the classic spark back into SW that the prequels were missing. But, he's too busy with Avengers and I think that franchise kind of needs him a little more, I don't really think anybody else could handle that many big characters at once as well as he did. Another potential I think is JJ Abrams, I think the dude did terrible with the new Trek but I think he could do awesome on a Star Wars movie - Leave Star Trek to somebody like Christopher Nolan. After watching Nolan's movies such as Inception, The Prestige, and Memento I think he could do a Star Trek, thought I think it might be too sci-fi for him, his stories just always had a kind of Trekky feel to it.
