Another Friday and only 3 Dev posts... and one of which states there is not update for Tuesday..

Where is all the communication you promised us? Or are you just going to delete this thread because you don't like being called out...

Just stop it. Seriously. Go back and look at how many dev posts there have been since they said they would communicate more with us. You're just looking for attention and it's pitiful.

Um, I think you totally misunderstood the plan. It was never for a bunch of Dev posts every Friday. It was a lot more Dev posts all week long, starting from the Friday when that was announced.

Since last Friday, there have been twenty-eight posts that show on the Dev Tracker - that's an average of four a day, and more than twice what we would see in a weekly Q&A. Some replies have come also through avenues that don't show on the Dev Tracker.

The information is flowing, and most of it can be found in one place. Quit whining. That stopped being appropriate when you were three.

Developers should be developing, not playing around on forums.

They should be reading what's being said, when they have some free time, but their commentary apart from occasional updates is not necessary. They've most likely answered whatever questions you're wondering about to a satisfactory degree.

Its the Friday after Gamescon and we don't get any updates about what happened? this week we should have seen a post about something they did. A note about a panel that they had. A link to photos or something. NO they give us nothing. Hell they never posted word one about anything they did at COMIC CON. This is what the skipped Celebration VI to do, which is ABSOLUTELY nothing. This is garbage. So what we have to got the fan sites to hear about anything that happened at Con??? This is the official site and there is no new info yet rest of the world has all kinds of links. This does not help the community feel that are not abandoning us. this is nothing but frustrating

You are aware a good portion of the team is in Germany for gamescom this week right? It's perfectly reasonable that this week would have lower communication. If it keeps up through next week then you will have a complaint

I think YOU misunderstood the plan. See originally we had a developer blog, we had friday updates, we had Q&A sessions, we had fan art, dev interviewers, behind the scenes showcases, AND on top of all that we had a very active community team.

So after the community team was basically laid of in it's entirety and they cancelled about 90% of the things I listed, we at least still had the community team that interacted on the forums... sometimes, maybe about once or twice week.

So what YOU are failing to see is that they are finally getting rid of the one very last community activity they had, and in exchange for this they are going to ramp up their interaction... to the level it was at 6 months ago... except that they aren't even nearly THAT involved.

It's a bait and switch. They take away 9 things, and then give you back one and then ask "aren't you thankful?"

We still have the developer blog. We still have developer interviews. in fact, Hall Hood just did an interview w/Torwars a few days ago. We now have a forum dedicated solely to fan sites and we have the community event tracker that highlights player events. We have an increased presence from the community team on the forums. The only thing we don't have is a weekly Q&A, (which the players said they DIDN'T want) and regular Friday updates. As far as I'm concerned, they're doing exactly what they said they would do.

It makes sense to spend money sending the team to Germany because so many of their players are German, right?

So to get information players are supposed to scour third-party sites? I thought that was removed when Reid was finally fired.

You could have known that this...

As part of this commitment, we’re excited to let you know that we have been developing a brand new strategy for our team that focuses on developing new ways to bring you more information about the game and the people involved with SWTOR's development.

... was bogus when it was followed by this...

As a result of the recent changes (discussed in Joveth’s note), we’ll be enforcing our forum guidelines and Rules of Conduct more strictly than before.

^ this.

And ofcourse people come in and post that they are doing better than before.

This is why I do not like that they removed the join date from people's forum accounts... Who are the people that say that Bioware is doing better? Are this people that only saw the terrible communication since february? Or ar it people that were here before and knew how it was?
