Not just as good, as a few key abilities require the assault cannon. You can do passable damage (enough to kill stuff at any rate) with one, if you choose. Not ideal, though. entropyboy Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 1. our core attacks require assault cannon (maybe combat medic?). 2. rifles usually have more end - aim makes us deal more damage and heal more. 3. vanguards will be sad when you roll on their guns.
