  1. i can also confirm that Alacrity lowers the GCD on casted abilities. 1s Grav would also give 1s GCD on those Gravs.
  2. i like HIB's sound. it was one of the reasons i chose Trooper. as for Grav Round, i am completely fine with opening a small black hole at the center of my opponent. what do you want it to sound like??
  3. the Empire does evil things. they have made themselves clear through their actions. Jedi can let their ancient philosophy bind them to inaction and the Senate can sit behind their bureaucracy--- my Commando does not give leeway to those supporting evil. regardless of light/dark points gained.
  4. your team does not need to protect you, but they do need to do their jobs while also contributing to whatever the warzone objective is. you are not suppose to be invincible. no character is invincible if you have good communication on your team. your post makes it sound like your team is filled with terrible players and the opponents are all pros. sounds like its a problem with your team, not Combat Medic.

  6. yea, just make sure server name is the same. you can choose either North American or Europe servers, depending on the other people you want to have access to.
  7. had that issue. repairing would not fix. trying to reinstall, but having issues with that as well.
  8. it goes down during my 'prime time'. no matter when the downtime is, someone is going to get screwed. its kind of selfish that you guys dont care who will get screwed by the downtime as long as your own play schedule in not affected. its not like maintenance periods are a new thing with MMOs.
  9. i am on Pacific Coast U.S.A. and i am awake and wanting to play during these down times also. the servers have to go down some point. i dont feel the need to complain about them going down when i want to play. just do something else for the duration. there are other things to do.
  10. they should be permanently banned. they have demonstrated their disregard for the community and need to be dealt with.
  11. 'melee' Scoundrel also has a selection of 10m and 30m attacks, so you have more options than a standard rogue-like class. more kiting and keep-away options. but yes, you have stealth, 'sap', stuns, positionals, Upper Hand 'combo points', etc. i think Scoundrel actually has more range compared to Shadow, which is all melee to 10m attacks(?could be wrong). but they do feel more like a mage-rogue, i mean a mage-rogue with a double-bladed lightsaber.
  12. do the targets get healed? if so, not broken. you are mentioning aesthetics.
  13. have not played it, but looking at this build: 23/0/18 for the synergy of HoTs and DoTs with Black Market Equipment. my idea is mostly for PvE, but some of the utility skills can be shifted around depending on play-style or PvP needs..
  14. any minor reason to use Charged Bolts over Grav Round is lost once you get Cell Charger. if you didn't remove it from your hotbar when you got Grav Round (and really, you should have), there is no reason to keep it on after Cell Charger. Gunnery is built to use Grav Round. and i am not sure why Assault or Combat Medic would be getting Grav Round. maybe a hybrid build with Gunnery, but you still lose too much of Grav Round's potential without going deep Gunnery. and its very hard to make a Charged Bolts build and go deep Gunnery while trying to avoid Grav Round.
  15. it depends on which offensive skills you want to use. if you are going rifle Commando, just pay attention to if the tooltip says it requires assault cannon.
  16. this! there is a reason that you will be focused down if they get a chance. that just proves that Commando is good in PvP. no one wants you around to bring the hurt.
  17. if we are talking about Gunnery, Full Auto certainly hits harder than 2 Grav Rounds.
  18. 1. our core attacks require assault cannon (maybe combat medic?). 2. rifles usually have more end - aim makes us deal more damage and heal more. 3. vanguards will be sad when you roll on their guns.
  19. it depends on what kind of armor value endgame is dealing with.
  20. if its hard, if they are elites and champions, get a group going. not everything is soloable.
  21. i noticed an error i made, i meant to say that its 2 for Full Auto, and its not 2 casts of Full Auto. Full Auto is a 3s channel, so that eats up 2 GCDs. the 3 got me confused earlier and i kept saying 3 GCDs when it is really 2, but a 3s channel. so i guess there is a 'free' GCD in there. 2 Full Auto, 1 HIB, 1 Demo, 5 Grav, 1 free = 10 GCDs (or 15s). but with latency and player imput lag, that would get up that extra time anyway. Full Auto is deep-Gunnery's hardest hitter. so you want to use it on CD, so that when Curtain of Fire procs, its just that much more overall damage. as a single-target priority list, with '>' for greater than: Full Auto CoF proc > Full Auto > High Impact Bolt > Demolition Round > Grav Round (spam me) > Hammer Shot (ammo management only)
  22. if they are H2+ quests, you group for them. that will get them done for you easily.
  23. eventually (deep Gunnery) you wont have time to weave Charged Bolts into the mix. because you need all your GCDs as it is. in an ideal situation (no incoming damage, no movement, single-target, etc), you are working off of a cycle of 10 GCDs*. 3 for Full Auto, 1 for HIB, 1 for Demo Round, and 5 for Grav to build up Charged Barrel. and any proc of Curtain of Fire will disrupt this. so it is tight as it is, without trying to sneak a Charged Bolt into the mix. not even taking into account ammo management which adds Hammer Shot, unless you can get really consistent on Cell Charger procs (the REAL reason why Gunnery wont use Charged Bolt). *(10 GCDs because our 'rotation' is based around three 15s CDs and a debuff that lasts for 15s)
  24. once you get Grav Round you are never to use Charged Bolts again! @20 my Grav Round is already doing more damage than Charged Bolts. plus everything in Gunnery spec revolves around Grav Round being used. Grav Round replaces Charged Bolts. unless you were making some sort of Charged Bolts-centric hybrid build and were completely avoiding the 3 Grav Round skills and i guess you would be using Plasma Cell because Charged Bolts does not interact with AP Cell as well as Grav does (skills, procs, etc). and then i think it would be a more Assault spec-centric hybrid and not Gunnery at all. if you are going mid-deep Gunnery, you take Grav and never look back at Charged. as for Full Auto. yes, its weak at first but once we get the skill points, its our strongest move (as Gunnery) and ridiculously ammo efficient.
  25. i assume all the Endurance is for extra survival, but why not the 10% reduced damage? 10% reduced damage vs 3% Endurance? plus skipping 6% Crit? Cell Charger + Field Training
