Nikkal
I LOVE the space missions! If I weren't playing this game mostly with my fiance, I would happily do nothing but sit and blow stuff up in my ship while sending out my minions to craft for me. This is an awesome addition, my only complaint is I want more missions. :)

titanmike
I too enjoyed the space combat as it is now. I remember it in SWG and it was good there as well. However, as it stands I am happy with it. I only got to do one mission last night, can you always run them? Or do you have to have a quest to do one? Kilaka
Can anyone say the level brackets that more missions open up? I really enjoy doing the space missions.
Xtapolapodon
I really enjoy the space combat. I treat it like it is - a nice bonus and break from the rest of the game. Like an above poster said, I like to send my crew members on a task, run a space mission, earn a nice bit of exp and get some new crafting items. Sure, they could expand upon it, but the game isn't even technically released yet. I'm hoping they'll add co-op or the ability to customize one's ship down the line, though. SirRobin
Good thing the burden of proof is on you then, isn't it? Show me a post by Bioware presenting space-combat as more than a minigame. And no, sensationalistic media coverage by third parties doesn't count. The proof isn't actually "on me." Over a year was spent going rounds on this and showed again and again how it was mostly an indefensible position. Its funny because assumptions like yours were brought up in the old topic about how some might use the wipe as an excuse to pretend it never happened. Well there is this: http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/space-combat And this: http://www.swtor.com/info/systems/space-combat Not to mention this: http://buy.swtor.com/us/ Oh, and there is this: http://www.darthhater.com/articles/swtor-news/15969-gamescom-interview-with-james-ohlen Plus this: http://gamingillustrated.com/star-wars-the-old-republic-game-director-interview/ Naturally there is this too: http://www.gamespot.com/star-wars-the-old-republic/videos/star-wars-the-old-republic-space-combat-reveal-interview-6273952 Did I mention this: http://www.mmorpgitalia.it/site/showthread.php?278309-Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic-ESCLUSIVA-Intervista-a-BioWare&p=3592426#post3592426 I seem to recall this: We also had Sean's own sticky on the topic which included the line, "Space combat is an alternative gameplay experience to the primary game of storytelling, questing, and ground-based combat." See "mini-game" anywhere? Or does that all count as more "sensationalistic media coverage?"
VinnieDaMac
The space missions are fun the first couple of times you do them and serve as a good distraction, but I can definitely see them getting repetitive after doing them a handful of times. I just hope they implement some sort of multiplayer aspect to it sometime in the near future.

Yeah that tired old, go play EVE, retort. Hardly all were asking for EVE, or even JTL. By the by both Gordon and Rich, in Austin, were part of the crew that made JTL. Since when did wanting more multiplayer content in a multiplayer game become an "unreasonable" thing? Especially for a game which had two studios, over five years, a budget of possibly a hundred million or more, developers who have made space combat content before, and is a pay-to-play massively mutliplayer experience. Meh... Again, BioWare had the time, treasure, and talent, to do better. They just chose not too and yet were still somehow taken by surprise when the feature reveal flopped? I couldn't agree with you more.. I am quite disappointed with the space combat so far.. I am not sure why I am paying for an MMO that seems half done and is not even multiplayer where it counts. What would Star Wars be without space? I had such high hopes and love for bioware but this is almost a deal breaker.. This system is shameful and I am embarrassed for bioware. JTL on the other hand was excellent and I couldn't have ask for more from a space combat simulator. Multiplayer in an MMO shouldn't even have to be asked.. I am not saying the space missions weren't entertaining for the first few times, but the novelty wore off quickly. I want JTL in ToR and I would be sold for years to come. SirRobin
Anyone else seeing the RMT guys hanging out in front of the temple on Coruscant? You can pick them out pretty easily because they are all level 12 and asking for someone to kill the level 16 boss for them so they can get their ship. They also seem to only have a couple of hours worth of memory. As they keep forgetting that I've already told them that, no, I'm not going to kill the boss in their last "class" quest for them. Looks like some were spot on when they predicted that a single-player rail-shooter mini-game, which gives cash and prizes, would be a magnet for the farming and power leveling "third-party" types.
