This means that the name you used to have was already in use on the destination server so your character must have a new name. People have said that if you double click on the name in the character list an option pops up to allow you to rename them. Natareus Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 The same happened to me. My BH named Leive was named to PIHJKHJIQUS or something along those lines ( I don't remember exactly). When I clicked on play it told me to rename this character because the name is in a violation of Bioware's naming policy. The way I see it, BW made this system so that it would purposely change it to a name they don't accept if the name was already on the destination, so you would then have to change it. Chessack Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 The unreadable random letter string is a generic name replacement because someone on your server already had your original character name. It happened to me with 3 characters. What happens is, when you go to log the character in, it will ask you to re-name it. At least, that is what happened with all 3 of mine.
