Looking to reroll, which server?

I'm currently playing republic on Hydian Way. Population is not bad over there but I'm looking at trying out Empire and would like to change servers, not bothered about Legacy atm. I'm after a well populated EU server so by the looks of TOR's guide it's either Nightmare Lands or The Red Eclipse. Any recommendations of which to go for?

First of all: good luck on the reroll. Hope you have more patience than me :p

Second: I have been on The Red Eclipse for a month or so now and I quite like it. Good people, plenty of guilds. Whether you want to do PvE or PvP it will certainly have players for both.

If you are looking for PvE server on EU then definetly The Red Eclipse...

If PvP then Tomb of Freedon Nadd.

Legions of Lettow and Nightmare Lands are 2nd highest for PvP and PvE

look my signature link for ongoing community merge on those realms it comes with updates and will change according when servers go full!

Well I started on Vulkar Highways and at the start it was good but died a death when the lolwow fan boys left and lots decided that the game was broke blah blah blah. I had got to legacy 35 when a friend had said he took a look at The Red Eclipse, well got to say best thing we did. As another guy had said plenty of people on,loads of guilds and active, always folk to do stuff with. As in this game pvp and pve servers mean nothing we have found a very happy place to spend our time. Edited by Locksley

Okay, so two things.

You're already moved, but for what it's worth, here's the listing of severs, which you can sort by population.

http://www.torstatus.net

if you're looking for a guild, you can try the Ideal Guild Quiz.

http://www.tortoolbox.com/quiz

It only includes the guilds that have bothered to set up an entry, so it's missing a lot of guilds that don't know about it/don't care about recruiting. If your server is represented, it's a good resource.

Heh. I actually tried to estimate that math yesterday... check the thread for the details... suffice to say, they probably ought to merge 2/3 to 3/4 of the servers, not just half.

Oh... hangon... so something like this....

If we calculate the total population, and put 'em on to 2000-person servers (busy, but with room to grow), it would look like this. "2k-servers" means how many 2000-person servers are needed.

41 PvP servers; average pop = 385; total pop = 15,813; 7.9 2k-Servers

70 PvE servers; average pop = 479; total pop = 33,553; 16.8 2k-Servers

3 RP PvP servers; average pop = 680; total pop = 2,040; 1.0 2k-Servers

9 RP PvE servers; average pop = 598; total pop = 5,390; 2.7 2k-Servers

Again, US only.
