For pvp, yes, it's terrible.

 

Dps: you're a dps with little to non existant harassing tools and no interrupts. So unless you're doing insane damage you're useless and that isn't going to happen because a) your damage is easily and badly negated by los (and people will ALWAYS be hugging a pillar or a corner) and you'll be done playing b) any melee in this game will make you his little ***** (and there's loads of them around) and you'll be done playing.

 

Healer: Terrible ae/multi target healing, 0 mobility, little to non existant utilities, little to non existant escape tools, 1 interrupter on you and you're dead unless you have bubble up, then 12 seconds (unless you get stunned /troll ) then you're dead. Pretty much sums it up.

 

Pve, gunnery dps is more than fine, healer is lackluster but playable.

kolto bomb is sick good aoe. it's instant and and gives a healing (and with css a dmg reduction) buff and it heals between 1.5k and 2.5k per target (so thats 6 to 10k healing for 2 ammo). I actually, i also use it as an instant heal on singletargets.

 

1 interrupter and your dead? no, you have your shield and even though it has high cd, it's still more than anybody else gets!

 

you have heavy armor and you have a aoe knockback+slow. you have an armor buff on probe and reduced dmg intake because of talents.

I agree with that we are not gimped, but those examples, yea, not so much.

 

KB is sad. But it is a 11+2 talent (not a 31 pt) so it should be sad. Let's put it this way, the change in KB doesnt make 1.2 good. If it was a smart heal, they might get a thank you for that, but adding an additional body, not even worth mentioning. Is KB a highlight of our class? No, it is like the fat girl at last call that you are chatting it up with.

 

Armor screen is terrible for how high it is in the tree.

 

RS is good, but not great. See Sentinels if you want great.

 

Our knockback is decent at best, but no ones is great.

 

A well played CM can be a game changer. There were very few good ones pre-1.2, now there are even less.

Armor screen is pretty decent actually. On tanks its another 2-3% mitigation, right? That's a big deal for a tank.

 

I don't know how he can say reactive shield is amazing though. It's easily one of the weakest damage reduction cooldowns in the game (it's a bit better than the smuggler one, but has like twice the cooldown); trooper defensive cooldowns are pretty weak in general (even the one tanks have to talent into). The main advantage of reactive shield is that you can talent into a bunch of healing bonuses for combat medics; while it's up you're a bit tough, but for the other 108 seconds you're pathetically easy to kill.
