I quit the game right away after the 30 days that came with my ce ran out, then i came back after a month and a half or so to finish some alts (got 5 50s, pvp ranks ranging from 75-63), sub ran out right after 1.2 so i got the 30 free days but i'm not really using them as i can't be arsed, i had started leveling a sentinel since you either play that or you're a nobody, got it to 47 but couldn't really be bothered anymore. My top 5 reasons would be: 1) No cross server finder tool for flashpoints and operations. I have honestly done more group content on tera in 10 days than i did on swtor in 2 months + and 5 50s. Those things had to be there since launch, no excuses. 2) No cross server queuing for warzones. Again, no excuses. 3) The game is really poorly optimized, despite having a fairly decent pc that doesn't have any troubles with ANY other new game that came out at the same time or AFTER swtor, performance is as bad as 15-25 fps when you join wzs while in leveling areas/instances they're strong at 80 or so, loading times are ridiculous and happen way too often. 4) Poor design choices such as no dual speccing, no ac switching, tedious travel systems, no combat log, no recount function (not just meter but EVERYTHING that thing provides), no mods, poor (and latecoming) ui customization, an utterly useless legacy system/features literally nobody cares about and isn't good for anything but wasting developers' time. 5) 1.2 destroyed any resemblance of pvp balance the game enjoyed, it wasn't perfect but it was acceptable. Since 1.2, it simply became a joke, with the strongest classes basically becoming even stronger and the so-so / gimp ones becoming even worse. Simply put, a terrible patch balance wise. Edit: not sure why i even keep checking forums by time to time, cause i doubt i'll ever come back, save for some miracle patch that adds/fixes everything i mentioned, guess i'm just curious and want to see for how long can bw keep their "our game is like this by design" act going before admitting they screwed up badly on many fronts.
  2. For pvp, yes, it's terrible. Dps: you're a dps with little to non existant harassing tools and no interrupts. So unless you're doing insane damage you're useless and that isn't going to happen because a) your damage is easily and badly negated by los (and people will ALWAYS be hugging a pillar or a corner) and you'll be done playing b) any melee in this game will make you his little ***** (and there's loads of them around) and you'll be done playing. Healer: Terrible ae/multi target healing, 0 mobility, little to non existant utilities, little to non existant escape tools, 1 interrupter on you and you're dead unless you have bubble up, then 12 seconds (unless you get stunned /troll ) then you're dead. Pretty much sums it up. Pve, gunnery dps is more than fine, healer is lackluster but playable.

    People with any sort of clue about pvp knew sent/mara were op since launch, it's only natural that the more they stay op, the more people realize it and roll one. And with 1.2 actually buffing them it only got more rampant. Those are the only reasons you see many/more threads about it "now" but make no mistake, they were op even 4 months ago.

Yes, being toe to toe as a ranged against a class that has a 15 sec or less charge that roots for 3 seconds, vanish and repop right on you, snare, ravage that roots when specced for it, is DEFINITELY a l2p issue on the ranged guy's part. Oh did i forget to mention these guys also absolutely DESTROY other melees and tanks too btw? I guess there's som l2p issues there too, am i right? Please.
  6. No. That's not how math/ratios/percentages work i'm afraid. Even if they're 2:1 all those imps could be terrible and all reps really good the fact that they're 2:1 doesn't have anything to do with the % of good players on either side, your reasoning assumes that since imps are more they have more chances of having good players... buuuut, they also have more chances of having bad players.

You make it sound like it's a big deal, those cds are so short you can spare a few of them for basically each fight, and usually no more than one is needed to make a HUGE difference, if you use ALL of them you can't lose not even if it's a lobotomized goat playing your marauder for you while you're away.
  8. Fine by me, i don't care. Such sign would bear no meaning to me anyway, since anyone who can't be reasonably good at using a character in this sort of games after 10 mins, probably isn't good at all to begin with and nothing would be different it he played the same spec for 10 years. I would respec my ac on a daily if not hourly basis on all my chars depending on what i wanna do.
  9. Honestly, i don't think they do any sort of internal testing, because if they did, they would have never allowed this new AWESOME audio bug to be introduced to the game. After a while audio just mutes, can't hear sounds, conversations, just some noise here and there and the client needs to be restarted. One would think that's a pretty big deal breaker for a fully voiced mmo right? The kind of thing anyone who did any sort of testing would notice, but Nope.

The answer is yes, because even if you don't, there are people who play at off hours and would like to get instance groups in a reasonable amount of queue time even when they are playing between say 2 and 8 am. And aside from that, the queue would be faster at any hour. From a functionality perspective it only makes sense to want the best tool you can have for the task at hand, and in this case, cross server is lightyears ahead of single server.

People may as well stop arguing about this, subscriptions have been steadily dropping, the deadline has arrived and after a few months of no competition (except wow, to which LOADS of people went back to btw) new games are finally about to be released. Bw failed to implement the feature (along with other features too) before this deadline and now people will simply go play something else, even if they add a dungeon tool by june or july it won't do the game's health any good, just as it didn't in rift where it got added too late. This game desperately needed the same exact implementation of wow's cross server dungeon and possibly raid(story ops mode largely qualify for that feature in terms of difficulty) finder, and the lack of such tools played a huge part into swtor's miserable failure. At this point, for me it's pretty much irrelevant if they add it or not, as i'll be playing some of the new releases such as tera and d3 regardless, and seeing how bw handled things, having no clue whatsoever what a game needs in order to be successful, if i ever come back to something, it will most likely be wow in mop and not swtor.
  12. Ac respec should and will be allowed, just give it time. Having it the way it is now was convenient at the start with loads of people wasting their gametime money leveling the same class just to play the different glorified spec, but in the long run with hardly anyone interested in leveling, in order to retain subs they'll opt for finally giving the quality of life option to change. The OP poor grammar and desire to change from a SENTINEL to a JUGGERNAUT reek of joker, still, the issue is real.

  14. Unfortunately i'm pretty sure that as you said "they don't get it" and they'll add that field respec instead of a proper wow like dual spec. I was like you with hope keeping me going, paid a couple months sub HOPING they would actually show some sense and implement things asap, but i've ultimately unsubbed as it has been several months after release and still NONE of the features i wanted has been implemented in the game yet and i don't intend to pay at all anymore until those *********** features, that every current day mmo should have out of the box, are going to show up in game. But at this point tbh, with new games coming out, i'm not even sure i will come back to this one regardless. Bw had plenty of time to add all the quality of life features this game needed during all these months while no other competitor game was being released, but they decided to waste that time on irrelevant content, and now they'll be ****ed and pay the price, as people will simply shift to new titles.
  15. Better yet, unsub and play something else, that's what i'm doing anyway. Granted, the state of commandos compared to all other classes isn't the only reason but it was the final push i needed.
  16. Actually they do heal themselves with telekinetic throw / force lightning if they're tank (and very few aren't) and with the tank stance procs.
  17. i've leveled my pt as pyro with mako so i wouldn't fall asleep while killing mobs, so assault with elara
  18. They'll eventually add the feature in the future, via legacy or whatever. Not allowing people to change was just a choice dictated by profit, people leveling alts to use different acs = more gametime being used in an useless way = more money. Give it a few months and whoever wanted to level 100 alts will have leveled by then already, at that point, convenience will take a more important role in keeping subs, and ac switching will be allowed. All this assuming that bw actually plans things and knows what they're doing, but now that i think of it, i'm not too sure they do.

  20. I don't need to counter argue anything as someone who says "pvp in this game is pretty much balanced" is simply living in his/her own magic fairy tale, pointing out that single sentence was more than enough to utterly DESTROY your whole wall of text.

  22. I don't have a problem with that damage honestly, but when you do that damage and then you also lololol 99% immune lolololol vanish escape, then there IS a problem. The class would be somewhat balanced without those cds, a melee glass cannon as it should be by design.
  23. X server was needed AT RELEASE. New games are coming out in a few days, bw time for adding features that should have been there 4 months ago is UP. They failed and loads of people will never come back. Hell my account expired on the 15th, and i'm not even going to log in during the 30 free days, that's how bad it is.
  24. The class IS bad, it's this guy that is a joke not the forums. Because of wannabe batman like him bw keeps thinking the class is fine. You can join a game as pyro and use basic attack ONLY the whole game and if due to many healers/faceroll match or both (like in his case) you can shoot non stop, you'll easily do that sort of damage. Healable, useless damage. But hey, you get over 500k in the chart at the end so it must be awesome.
  25. I do 4-500k on a regular basis in any 10+ mins wz, regardless of being gunnery or assault, that doesn't mean the class is fine anyway. Nobody says the class is terrible because of its damage. It's all about its utilities and ludicrious vulnerabilities to basically everything. Furthermore, there's the issue of HOW the damage has been achieved, because any mong can reach 500+k just by spamming BASIC ATTACK, detonator and fm/dfa at every cd. That doesn't mean they're actually being useful, in fact they're probably just wasting an ops slot tbh.
