I added an update to the OP. There are few last specific questions, and I have a few spare tauntauns for anyone with the screenshots / proof I need!

 

Update on 4/25: We're getting closer. If anyone can answer the following questions with a screenshot as proof, I have a couple tauntaun fawns I can give out. Remember, you don't have to actually RE the mod, we just needs a screenshot of the tooltip when you mouse over it.

  • Level 25 Crafted Mods: We show that several level 25 mods can be crafted. I'm hoping someone can verify ONE of these. Click on any of the mods and you'll see where they can be ripped from - it looks like they are all weapons.
  • Level 23 Crafted Mods: We show level 23 crafted mods with 51 and 52 ratings. Does anyone have a source for these... a pattern or an RE?
  • Level 23 Armoring: The armorings from the commendation vendor also seem to be crafted. Is this true? Can anyone get a screenshot of the RE tooltip from one of these mods?
  • Level 23 Barrels / Hilts: Does anyone know if these can be RE'd or if they are from a pattern? I just need ONE confirmed. Barrels / Hilts.
  • Am I missing any other questions?

One more to add to the list.. while I'm at it, I want to collect as much info as possible to add to our database.

 

Does anyone know the cost to extract each of the mods/enhancements/armorings/barrels/hilts from the various end-game sets? Rakata, Campaign, Black Hole, War Hero, BattleMaster? And does the cost differ by slot (is it more expensive to remove it from the chest than the legs, for example?)

 

I'm looking for exact costs (screenshots would be awesome).

Would seem extraction costs are based purely on their level (number in brackets while in an item).

Upon more digging... I have another theory.

 

Take a look at these level 25 mods. You'll notice at the bottom, there are two level 25's listed at a different rating, 56, instead of 58. One of them can be crafted, as well as ripped from 2 different items.

 

So here's a list of all of the level 25 mods that can be crafted. Does anyone have access to any of the items one of these can be ripped from? If so, do you have a chance to RE the mod it to learn a pattern? The items that have these mods are:

 

 

This test can also be done with the level 23 mods... the higher rated ones come from weapons. The others can come from columni or tionese gear. Take a look at the list please. If you have any of the items they can be ripped from, let me know if the mod can be RE'd for a pattern (with a screenshot of the tooltip). This would be AWESOME to know.

4. Can *ANY* orange item ever learn variants, like this. It would seem not considering how orange gear works, but you DO have a chance to RE this item. I assume that' chance is just to learn the orange shell. If anyone can confirm one way or the other, I can update our data. Confirmed, the crafted item cannot even be RE'd.

 

Not that it changes the answer much, but they can be RE'd if you slot an item into them.

It's been my experience that the variants only occur when the item was originally a base green item.

 

Level 23 Crafted Mods: We show level 23 crafted mods with 51 and 52 ratings. Does anyone have a source for these... a pattern or an RE? The interesting thing here is that the level 23B Reinforced Mod that we have a screenshot for, that cannot be RE'd, is actually not in our list of level 23 mods that CAN be crafted. Does anyone have a mod in this list?

My guild ran through HM EV the other night and the 25 willpower mod and armoring dropped. I was given the armoring by the person who won the roll for it to try to RE it. When I click my RE button in my inventory screen and hover over the armoring, there is no % chance of RE. Does this mean that I am not able to RE this piece? I thought that we could RE the epic mod and armoring drops???

 

Yes, I am 400 cybertech .... just in case it crossed yur mind that I wasn't ;)

 

I can get a screenshot tonight after work if needed.

Moziv, we have a screenshot confirming what you just said, but if you already have one and want to share it, having several examples can't hurt! :)

 

Does anyone have a screenshot of a 23 or 25 being sold on the GTN where the tooltip says 'made by ____.' ? I'm curious now... to make sure that the data we see is right, and they can in fact be crafted.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I am having a hard time understanding the nature of the Denova and Hazmat armors listed on the Mr. Robot database. First of all, where do these armors come from, and are they BiS over Campaign gear? Also, there are versions fully decked out with mods and versions with empty slots on the database. Is it possible to get a hold of one of those fully geared pieces as is, or is that just a quick reference point, where you would have to buy/find/make all the mods yourself and insert them into the shell?

The Hazmat and Denova gear are *theorized* to drop from NiM mode EC. We're leaving them in for a little longer until some guilds have cleared NiM and can confirm / deny their existence.

 

I'll know more after that point. Good question :)

Hmmm....seems a bit of a shaft to cybertech. If this is the case, why is it not the case for armortech and synth? I mean, they should only be able to crit some slots...like only the helmet and boots of a set. Right? :mad:

I mean, if they can craft BiS stuff, why can't we???

So then the question is... WHERE do you learn the 25 (and 23) craftable mod patterns? I haven't seen anyone claim they are drops... unless it's maybe in nightmare modes? And what about 23's... why has no one found a source for those (that I know of, anyway)?

Alright, I'm closing in on the final information. Here's what is left... you know the drills, post a screenshot.

  • Level 26 Barrel / Hilt - can someone see if this is RE'able from a black hole / campaign level weapon?
  • Level 24 Barrel / Hilt - Does this pattern also drop in KP?
  • Level 24 Armoring - Does this pattern drop in KP?
  • Level 26 Armoring - I've seen a report this drops from Explosive conflict (not in an item, but the armoring drops). I've heard this is RE'able. Can anyone confirm?
  • Level 23 Everything (barrel / hilt / mods / enhancements / armorings) - Still need a source... I'm suspicious if these are even craftable
  • Level 25 Mod - Still need a source
  • Level 26 extraction cost - anyone know the exact extraction cost?

Hey guys... with yesterday's 1.2.2 patch, we might need to take a look at some of the screenshots everyone was so kind to post :(

 

Some gear that could be reverse engineered but erroneously displayed the "No Research Available" tooltip has been corrected.

 

Can everyone who has access to the level 23-26 mods, enhancements, armorings, and hilts take another look, see if the tooltip says you can research it now?

I'm also eager to see what the patch brought to cybertech. While I still think it's not fair that cybertech was not "given" their new patterns like synth, arms, and armor, I am anxiously awaiting the chance at possibly crafting a new product.

I just checked some of the mods (that were not previously craftable via the trainer) that I have banked up from the daily quest rewards, and no love... all say "No Research Available"

 

Advanced Aptitude Mod 22

Advanced Reinforced Mod 22B

Advanced Deflecting Mod 22B

 

I'll have to check on the Mk23 and Mk24 mods later.

 

edit: Checked Advanced Lucid Enhancement 24 in my artifice's bank and "No Research Available"

I picked up the black hole greaves for my BH yesterday...while I was stripping them to put in my orange custom pants, I noticed that the 26 mod had a 20% chance to learn the schematic...I'm still very tempted to try my luck.

 

EDIT: Can't provide proof yet, as I couldn't find a way to link the mod without stripping it again. Not gonna pay nearly 45k just to strip the mod, screenshot it, and put it back in. Rest assured though, the 20% is true

Confirming on level 26 hilts and enhancements. I've already learned Advanced Battle Enhancement 26 as well. You have to pull the piece out first, though. Just opening the mod window and hovering over it with the RE tool doesn't show it.

That looks like a 26 pvp mod, if I'm not mistaken? The pve 26 stuff you can learn the schematics from.

Hi ive tried to RE an armoring 26 for gloves purchased by black hole commendations, so it was with "(Hand)" at the end of the name but the RE tooltip said that i couldnt learn anything.

Sorry no screenshots :/
