  1. Bioware, what are the chances of introducing craftable crystals with the alacrity stat for artificers?
  2. I agree with this completely. I recently came back to the game and everyone in my guild had stopped playing and the server (PoT5) was all but dead as well. I transferred all my toons to The Harbinger and in one week of crafting and one week of selling (leveling gear) in a vibrant economy I made 65 million credits. If I had just a handful of my former guildies doing the same and also running heroics & dailies like we used to, we'd have a guild ship, stronghold and decos pimped out no problem at all. So, get your active guildies to move with you and reap the benefits !!
  3. I'll second what Tux said. I moved from PoT5 a few weeks ago and it's night and day. I can barely do anything on my toons between warzone pops and have to make sure my toon is completely ready to raid before hitting GF for FPs due to how fast I get grouped. What a terrible problem to have, right? LOL
  4. Great guide. Thank you very much. I can't wait to perfect my glowbat toon.
  5. I remember being able to use adrenals and endless medpacks every 90 seconds in warzones. I too remember when CS would live chat with you in-game. I remember when you weren't allowed to use your speeder on fleet or in the space ports.
  6. I remember the excitement and joy of finally being able to queue for PvP at level 10 (before I got the sprint ability at level 14), and getting into an Alderaan match. Then the jaw dropping awe and disappointment of getting one-shot by a level 50 battlemaster. #PvPBalance
  7. I've seen you post that 3:2 thought before. I find it to be extremely spot on.
  8. Still recruiting? I just transferred all my toons and am looking for a casual guild on empire side. I have 65 sorc (heals), op (heals), assassin (tank), and pt (tank). Leveling a marauder also (46). Left the game when SnV was new and just came back this January.
  9. I'm trying to find a new server to transfer to. How are queue pops for PvE group finder and PvP during pacific time zone nights on The Harbinger server?
  10. Omg, this. They were SO overpowered. I miss: The 9 minute walk from the Coruscant spaceport to the senate tower, because we weren't allowed to sprint until level 14 30m incendiary round, with an 18 second burn....that prevented caps in PvP The prison rape of level 10s in a warzone against Battlemasters...when the title meant that you really were a bada** The euphoric sense of accomplishment when you defeated Dr Loric in HM lost island "Teams of stun-locking operatives causing players to unsub" ...kudos to whoever remembers that gem of an explanation.
  11. Should be able to get some good (for your level) armorings, mods, and enhancements from the corelia vendor
  12. I don't know why, but when I look at the Descendants Heirloom Saber, all I can think is : Inigo Montoya: My father was slaughtered by a six-fingered man. He was a great swordmaker, my father. When the six-fingered man appeared and requested a special sword, my father took the job. He slaved a year before it was done. [shows the Man in Black the sword] Man in Black: I've never seen its equal. Inigo Montoya: The six-fingered man returned and demanded it, but at one tenth his promised price. My father refused. Without a word, the six-fingered man slashed him through the heart. I loved my father. So naturally, I challenged his murderer to a duel. I failed. The six-fingered man left me alive, but he gave me these. [strokes the scars on his cheeks] Man in Black: How old were you? Inigo Montoya: I was eleven years old. And when I was strong enough, I dedicated my life to the study of fencing. So the next time we meet, I will not fail. I will go up to the six-fingered man and say, "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
  13. Lol. Of course I found the two slicers interested in obtaining mats and painstakingly listing them for sale. Most people that took slicing early on were not interested in crafting or the mats associated with it...just credits obtained. I too am interested in the mats...so that I can craft. My point though was that the missions obtained were pure credits for a non - crafter. You're right also, that the mats are too, but not like the missions. Perhaps it's different on some servers? To the OP, there's lots of ways to make money
  14. Crafter and/or material gatherers like to run the purple missions from slicing because they guarantee 4-6(?) purple mats per mission. As a slicer, you're not interested in gathering mats, just money. So, when you run your crew skill mission (slicing mission) and it crits, you get credits and an Unlock-able purple crew skill mission for underworld trading, archaeology, treasure hunting, etc. The thing to do for a slider is: Sell these missions on the GTN. How much you list these missions for on the GTN is up to you. They are just like crafting mats, price them accordingly. What that means is: if the mission will return 4 ice jewels and an ice jewel sells for 10,000 credits then sell the the mission for 40,000 credits. The price you actually list the mission for can vary depending on your personal thoughts and the market you're selling in. The mission will also return blue crafting mats, which will have a typically or usual selling price on the GTN like the purple mats (ice jewels in my example), and the missions can return companion gifts, crafting schematics, etc. The point is, there's more opportunity (materials wise) to the person that buys your mission than just receiving the purple crafting mats back. Do keep in mind that there will be a cost to whomever buys your mission to actually RUN that mission with one of their companions. They'll factor that onto the top of the price you list your mission at and then divide that total by the number and type of mats they expect to get out of running the mission. So, if your price winds up being cheaper, in their eyes, compared to the listed crating materials already on the GTN...they'll buy your mission. You could always look at what other missions of the same type are seeking for, and list yours the same. Or...you could severely undercut the same mission you're selling compared to others listed on the GTN <<<<<<this is my preference for you as I'm an avid crafter Point is, the missions you receive from your slicing mission is nothing more than a great big giant box of crafting materials for whoever you sell the mission to and runs it with one of their companions. What you sell that for is up to you, the market you're in(server), and the speed at which you want to wait to collect money on the sale (undercut or not). Hope that helps.
  15. I honestly don't craft much on my synthweaving toon, but yes, mk-9s would be a worthy endeavor...or whatever the next tier of augment kits will be. Making the augments would also be a good idea. I'm not sure about other wares though. Biochem is, to me at least, more of a money saver than a money maker. You can make all of your own consumables rather than shelling out money for them. Biochem can make implants though, and if you put in the time to re them to the better stat purple versions in many different levels, that could pay off huge over the long haul. Ultimately what you want to do is have each type of crafter in your legacy and multiple types of gatherers. It's useful to not have to depend on others for your needs...mainly because you won't have to send them money for what you need...and that's the first rule of making money...don't spend it.
  16. I have 2 inquisitors. One is "profiteering" and has treasure hunting, Bioanalysis, and slicing. The other is artifice. She has artifice, archaeology, and underworld trading. I took the underworld trading to make use of the companion +2 crit to it. Because I took UT with my 2nd inquisitor, I rolled a marauder just to get the first companion...which has a +5 crit to treasure hunting. So for my artificer, I have 2 ship droids with +2 crit on treasure hunting and a companion with +5. Makes it easier to get my own purple mTs, which are ludicrously priced on the GTN nowadYs. For reference, TheRealBowser has companion bonuses listed in his guide.
  17. Great guide, I learned a lot. Quick question though, in reference to slides 6 & 9, my color crystal is purple (not blue like the pictures)...am I losing out on mad deepz on my high impact bolt?
  18. One of my alts got invited to a guild to run ops. I didn't notice the guild name at first, but when I did, I had to move my Sith Warrior toon (David'carradine) in to the guild <asphyxiation>
  19. Annie'Oakley...she's a dead eye
  20. This is just not true. We know for a fact, because the devs said so, that people are Unsubscribing due to teams of stun-locking operatives NERF OPERATIVES!!!!!
  21. I'll take "ISP upgrades" for 100 Alex...
  22. Ya. Couldn't even GET gear after puting your time in...just a CHANCE at gear. /double shudder
  23. Hey, I fought battlemasters when I was level 10. It's not THAT bad now. So suck it up, put your time in, get your coms, get your valor, and get to 55 PvP.
