  1. What was the reasoning behind removing hoods from Twi'leks, and will they be able to wear hoods if/when the hood toggle gets implemented?
  2. Even Guarding ranged dps is kinda pointless as they will usually also be out of range and has no effect. The range also gives them more time for the mob to get to them giving you more time to taunt before they take any damage (if its a melee mob). Where as a melee is right next to the mob, so if they do pull threat, all the mob has to do is turn which it can do really quickly and then smack them.
  3. I find a lot of tanks do this, and as a healer main I can tell you it is pointless. Since Guard has a 15m range a healer will rarely be within range to gain any benefit from it. Healers also do not need the threat reduction as they really don't generate a lot of threat. As long as the tank has gotten 1-2 hits on a mob, it is very difficult to pull agro with just heals. It is so much more effective to Guard melee dps. They will almost always be in range, can definitely use the threat reduction (especially if they out gear you), and the 5% damage reduction helps them survive a little better against boss aoes. And remember that the 50% damage transfer only applies to damage from players so has no effect in PvE.
  4. Artifice can craft +41 versions of blue, red, green, yellow, purple, and magenta crystals. Orange and cyan are currently not craftable. Blue, red, and green schematics are available from daily comm vendors. Yellow and either blue or red, can't remember atm, are available from the PvP vendors. Magenta recipes come from the Nightmare Pilgrim, or random drops in the Black Hole daily area. Purple schematics are still unknown, but one crops up every so often. As of 1.3, new Columi weapons now contain +41 crystals. Purple for Imperials, and cyan for the Republic.
  5. There is deffinatly something up with Hard KP. Bonethrasher was knocking back almost twice as far as normal, and hitting almost twice as hard. I was standing in the same spot I always stood and had never been knocked off the platform from that spot and the other night, he was knocking me clear off the platform. Other people were having the same issue. A large number of his swipes also seemed to either be doing double damage or hitting twice or something, because one hit, which normally took off half or less of a person's health were dropping people to 20% on a fairly regular basis. Not every hit, but a large number of them. And no, he never ate an add. We didn't have too much issue with any other boss till Karagga. He started casting the gravity vortex thing on our tank fairly consistantly which was constantly getting our melee hit but the frontal cone missles thing he does. And there was no reason for it as we had several range (think it was 5) at range from the boss.
  6. Rank 23 mods can't be crafted. And little point to give you schematics for barrels/hilts/armourings since they are so easy to obtain with daily comms. Rank 24 enhancement schematics are now dropping in EV and KP. Not sure about barrels/hilts/armourings. Rank 25 are unknown as of yet, but assumed to not be craftable. Rank 26 mods (all of em) can be crafted and you learn the schematics by RE'ing mods out of Black-Hole, Campaign, and War Hero gear. Excluding armourings which must be learned through RE'ing non-slot specific armourings that drop in Hard Denova.
  7. Story or Hard mode Denova? As far as I know, the rank 26 armourings only drop on Hard. Any armouring taken out of artifact quality gear is slot-locked, and slot-locked armouring's cannot be RE'd for schematics.
  8. If it is craftable, it is crit'able. If its an equipable item, it gets an augment slot. If its not an equipable item, it generates an extra item on a crit. With only a 15% chance to crit (with 10k affection and no +crit bonuses) it is fairly common to take 10+ attempts to get a crit. Roughly 1 in 5. They can be, but only non-slot specific ones. Which means none that are taken out of gear. Only ones that drop straight from bosses.
  9. They did indeed think of this. If both a shell and an armouring have set bonuses, then the shell's bonus overrides the armourings. So no, you can't have both.

  11. I had the +41 endurance made before the event, and I couldnt sell it for 500k on my server. I'm down to 300k and its still not selling. The only offer I've gotten was for 250k back when i was trying to sell it for 400k. Granted, every server is different price wise. This is just my server, which has a pretty decent population.
  12. If you do not already have another character with Underworld Trading, deffinatly go with that over slicing. If you want to be able to make anything over a green item, without having to buy expensive mats off the GTN then you will need UT. Scavanging is a must have for Armourmech, as it supplies you with basic mats. It has been confirmed by the devs that the issues with slicing cases right now is indeed a bug, and they intend to fix it (eventually). Also when it comes to orange gear, right now people are clamouring for anything they can get because they just became available. In time as the demand goes down and prices start to fall, people will start to care about the actual looks of the orange items.
  13. A dev posted that if it says neither, that there are no schematics availble by RE'ing the item. If it says you have a chance to learn something, then there is something to learn. If it says no research available, then there is something to learn but you already know it. Think this is a bug though, and items that currently say neither are supposed to be saying no research available.
  14. Yeah, the +33's still drop from the same bosses that they used to. You were talking about the +41's though. I got kind of lucky and got the +41 Endurace magenta schematic the very first day of 1.2. Took me a week to find the mats for it, and now no one wants to buy it.
  15. This is not entirely true. The +41 magenta schematics are only dropped in the Corellia daily area, and off the new world boss on Voss; The Nightmare Pilgrim. And in case anyone was wondering, the +16 magenta crystals drop off the Tatooine, Alderaan, and Nar Shaddaa world bosses. They didn't say they'll never add a higher tier crystal. Just that they wern't going to any time soon.
  16. Just because I'm a math nerd, but your math is off. It is not 1 in 1200, it is actually 1 in 800. To determine "1 in X" you have to take the inverse (1/x) of the odds. And if you think about it some more 12.5% = 1 in 8, 1.25% = 1 in 80 so 0.125% would be 1 in 800. In the whole grand scheme of things, 1 in 800 is fairly common place. Especially when you consider how many people play the game. Your math about it happening to 124 people out of 100,000 is correct, and is 1 in 800, not 1 in 1200. 100,000 / 800 = 125 100,000 / 1200 = 83.3 Anyways, back on topic. The change from 4% to 20% deffinatly does reduce the odds of getting massive strings of failures, but it doesn't completely remove them. At 4% the odds were as bad as a 30% chance to take 30 attempts to successfully RE something.
  17. So where are these magical vendors that sell Mark 26 armouring/mods, augmented armour and augmented weapons? They are far from useless, it just takes time and effort to get the worthwhile recipes.
  18. Yes, you will be able to use the Legacy Project ability on your Inquisitor. Heck, even your Consular will be able to use it. However, legacy abilities are only usable during Heroic Moments which means only when you have a companion with you. The Heroic Moment starter ability has a 15min cooldown, while all the Legacy abilities have 10min cooldowns, so you can only use each ability once per Heroic Moment.
  19. According to the patch notes: "Mid-level Magenta Adegan Crystal Schematics may now drop from the World Bosses on Tatooine, Alderaan, and Nar Shaddaa." Hope that solves that... As for the co-ordinates issues, it is actually the player X, Y co-ords that are off. When you first open the map it actually shows the X, Z co-ords of your player untill you move. Once you move it updates properly to show the X, Y co-ords. As for the mouse co-ords, they are actually correct, people just read the player arrow on the map wrong. The player is actually located at the center point of the circle located at the base of the player arrow. The arrow itself just indicates the direction you are facing.
  20. Actually, ctrl+U twice causes the UI to reload. Alt+Z turns off the UI without causing it to reload.
  21. Well, I'm giving up looking for the refining node on Imp side for now. Getting too late. Probably resume the search when I get up if it hasn't been found yet. Wouldn't rule out Korriban just yet. Didn't know what it looked like while I was looking around, could of easily missed it.
  22. Yeah, I'm checking Kaas now. Didn't exactly search all of Hutta, just the logical places. And nothing. Altho now that I know what it looks like, it should be easier to find.
  23. I just finished scouring Korriban... There is nothing here to refine the crystals. And it does kind of make sense. Its not really part of the Sith trials to make a lightsaber. For the Sith, lightsabers are mostly taken from Jedi/Sith they kill, or handed down by their masters. Think I'll try Hutta next, because I wouldn't put it past a Hutt to have something rare like a crystal refinery.
  24. I can confirm, there are multiple spawn points. Came back to harvest a second one and found the node in another spot in the same general area. Forgot to write down the exact co-ords though.
  25. True, but it does let you exclude areas that are flat and open, like the Apalis Coast, and Alsakan Lowlands for the most part. And would suggest at the Juran Mountains as a good place to start.
