Rokghoul DNA

You get five samples when you die from the rakghoul infection (20 minute incubation period) OR when you die after 10 minutes of incubation through pvp, getting killed by random mobs, jumping off a cliff, etc.

You also get samples when you do dailies on Tatooine (you need to be at least high-20's for this, though) associated with this rakghoul plague event. No one knows how long the event is on for, make the most of it.

You have to be at least to Tatooine (Level 30 or more) on your character (so you don't get killed by higher levels) and head on up to the north of the Dune Sea area.

You will unlock an area quest after you're up there and that starts a Daily Quest series that you can repeat everyday to get DNA Samples after completion.

During your questing, do not use the vaccine they give you if you want to acquire more DNA Samples. If you get infected by a rakghoul, you will see a buff called 'Sickness" and after 10 minutes you will become 'Feverish'. Your character will stop frequently and throw up and turn green until you finally explode after 20 minutes. Any loading screens will reset the phase to the closest buff (etc, if you are still 'Sick' and not 'Feverish', it will reset your timer to 0 and you have to wait 10 more minutes to get to Feverish.)

Everytime you explode, you get 5 DNA samples and die on the spot. Additionally, the quest chain will give you 20+ a day without you getting infected.

These DNA samples can be used to buy Black-Green color crystals for level 31 and 50, and a lockbox containing Companion Customizations (Infected versions), and a rakghoul pet you can buy.

I hope this helps.

We are happy to announce that we are starting to make progress in the neutralization of the Rakghoul Plague Outbreak. It is our hope that the outbreak will be completely contained by April 24th at 2AM CDT (12AM PDT/3AM EDT/8AM BST/9AM CEST/5PM AEST). Citizens have until this time to completely avoid Tatooine and to not engage in investigations of suspicious wreckage on its surface.

I suspected it would be over quickly due to all the forum qq.

In any event, Dev tracker is still fubar, so how'd you find that? Randomly stumble across it?

Dev tracker and it's one of the stickies in the General Discussion part of this forum.
