mightyburd
I want to play a tank. I was just wondering if juggs get either more shields, or quicker shields than mara? IIRC with my mara I got one good shield at 3 mins, and one ok shield at 1 min. Is it better with jugg? I like the sin tank, but hate having to hit dark ward every 12 seconds. i_am_sancho
Mate, Marauders can't be tanks. Marauder/Sentinel is 100% DPS only. These are the tank classes and their tank skill trees: Trooper-->Vanguard (Shield Specialist) Jedi Consular-->Jedi Shadow (Kinetic Combat) Jedi Knight-->Jedi Guardian (Defense) Bounty Hunter-->Powertech (Shield Tech) Sith Inquisitor-->Sith Assassin (Darkness) Sith Warrior-->Sith Juggernaut (Immortal) If by "shield" you mean defensive ability, then Marauders/Sentinels on the whole have more defensive abilities, but that's because medium armour makes them squishier than a DPS Jugg/Guardian. Put it this way: if you find you're using defensive abilities a lot as a Marauder, you're probably better off playing as a Juggernaut. Hope this helps Edited April 15, 2012 by i_am_sancho

jjschm
Marauders absolutely cannot tank PvE, but with good cooldown use and especially anni spec, they can be pretty good PvP tanks.
