Mirdthestrill
Name and race... Nobody knows. The earliest organized Jedi-like force users lived on Tython many many many many many many many years ago. Before that, however, there was the Rakata, and some of them were Force-Sensitive. Diviciacus
Were the Rakata really force sensitive, or is it a question of sufficiently advanced technology being indistinguishable from magic? Was their tech simply so powerful that they could manipulate the Force through technology? /ponder

The Infernal One, the final boss of The Eternity Vault operation, is a force sensitive Rakata.

Was their tech simply so powerful that they could manipulate the Force through technology? /ponder It's the other way around, most of their technology was force based, if they were not force sensitive they would not have been as powerful or advanced as they were. And that is why the Rakata died out very quickly when they got a mysterious plague that cut almost all the their species off from the force. Because they could no longer user the force or most of their technology without it. Edited March 27, 2012 by AngelousWang

Phorxx
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Celestial Going to have to assume these folks had something to do with it. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Ones The Ones were tied to the Celestials in some manner and since the Celestials are looked at as the progenitor species for pretty much everything most likely they are involved somehow or other with the first Force User. I'm unfamiliar with the Rakatan Plague... but how could you pull that conclusion? Wasn't Abeloth improsined since before the Rakata?
Wornfiend
The first force user was called The father if i'm correct! He's a member in a family called the ones.. A family that can wield the force like none else! Also some links tells that a ghost named as THE ENTITY is as old as the force itself and that sound interesting! DarthDymond
I doubt the Father was the first force user, although he is certainly one of the older ones, and probably the oldest one known by name. It seemed that some of the Celestials evolved/ascended to become the Ones, including the Father, but the Celestials' civilization existed as a very advanced, but still more-or-less mortal civilization for some time before that transition happened, long enough for them to construct things like Centerpoint Station, for some of them to become Killik joiners, etc. So there were probably other Force-wielding Celestials who lived before the individual who became the Father towards the end of their civilization, but nothing of them is known. If you're looking for a God analogue, the Father is as good as any you're likely to find, but there's nothing pointing to any single individual as the first Force User. The Rakata, the Celestials, the builders of the Tho Yor pyramid ships (which may be the Celestials, but it's not certain), etc. are all civilizations that existed so far before the known history of the SW universe that only myths and legends remain, and none of those myths point to any individual as the first Force User. Force use occurred naturally among many different species on many different worlds (and even different Galaxies, as seen with Yuuzhan'tar), apparently independently of each other, so even if there was a recorded first Celestial force-user it still might not be clear whether she lived before the first Columi force user, etc. Edited September 8, 2014 by DarthDymond

t-darko
I still understand how The Son and the Daughter got their powers, but how did The Father gain his, and to the extent that he was still more powerful than both his son and daughter? " They used to call us Force wielders"(Mortis trilogy, CW) the Fathers answers to the question as who they are . . . Which suggests that they were more common at some stage of Galactic history, for them to been given a a label of identification. this is however 'New' Canon as of the 'Disney purge'. However the following offer us a kind of early merge between T- and C Canon, which as of now is considered to be 'legend' and unfortunately non-canon after said 'Disney purge'. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Celestial Going to have to assume these folks had something to do with it. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Ones The Ones were tied to the Celestials in some manner and since the Celestials are looked at as the progenitor species for pretty much everything most likely they are involved somehow or other with the first Force User. So to answer your question correctly we must first establish in which continuity you wish the question to be answered in. According to 'Legend' lore the celestials would be included in the answer, but according the 'new' Canon only the Ones and the mysterious "Force wielders" would be included in that answer. However does the Yoda episodes in CW leaves the field open for speculation.
AlrikFassbauer
Every point where a definition is placed onto something has a "pre" phase - simply a phase where things begin to develop. The term "Force User" is such an development. To me, it is as if someone was asking me : "Who was the first smith ?" Who can say ? People began hammering on found metal with simple at one point in the past, not knowing what kind of metal industry would become out of that. "Force Users" ... it began like this probably, too. Plus, there are very DIFFERENT ways of "using the Force" described in the books ... Ways that are not described in the books because the books are mostly abgout WAR, FIGHTING, EXPLOSIONS etc. and not so much about plant growing, archaeology, archivating things, moving soil, building buildings ... People growing plants might have been - for example - the very first Force Users, because the Force enabled them to empathically or even telepathically "talk" to / with plants and ask them what they might need to grow ... But things like this will NEVER be in the Star wars books - well, because Star Wars is about Star WARS and not about Star GROWING ... "Only the wise man knows that he knows nothing" ... A lesson taught by Socrates, ancient Greek philosopher, presented in the Consular's class story on Coruscant, too ...
