not if skilled as grav spammer. this build actually makes the commando being the worst 1on1 fighter. and even in grp matches you need to be viable in 1on1.

 

for a commando to be effective in pvp you either need to be healer oder assault (shared tree). the third one with grav round is simply not a good pvp specc.

 

beside of this, most classes have a tree not very good for pvp. so what?

 

You have no idea how to play the spec your talking about. If you just stand there and spam grav then you will die horribly to any half-decent opponent you enconuter and rightfully so. PvP requires you to think on your feet, kite, strafe, CC, interrupt, predict your enemies next move and choose the right time to unleash your best damage abilities.

 

You suck, the class and spec are fine.

i do not play gunnery commando.

if you do fine with in pvp, nice. i'm yet to see any gunnery commando that i can't kill while watching tv, with any class i play.

 

but you are right, that pvp needs all the stuff you mentioned above. problem is only, that as gunnery you can't do much of that.

Commandos are awesome if played well, you obviously have no idea how to play the class.

As already said commando's arent 1v1 specialist. We do best sticking to the edges of a fight and los any potential attackers. But to say were the worst class is hilarious its is a very rare thing to not see me as top damage in any wz. Edited by snafus

Dude, go cry a river. Grav Round is the ONLY thing mainly troopers spam, not using other skills that are better. I can interrupt a grav round, and a trooper will just sit there, do nothing, until grav round is back, ready to use. 1.2 is a good thing, since we have a better chance of stopping it and to make other troopers REALIZE that they have other skills to use than one that is just for spam. top damage at the end of a wz does not matter.

 

actually i would definitely say that gunnery commando is the worst pvp class. the only use of it is to have only one of them in a 8vs8 team for the armor debuff.

 

you are right that left alone they do great damage but this won't happen except for stupid pug games.

 

you might tell me though which class is worse?

People will argue of course OP, but the best suggestion I can give is to not play gunnery. In 1.2 all of our specs were hit but medic is still the only really viable one for competent PvP. A gunnery commando is basically a liability to his team, if you want to DPS play a sentinel atm.

Or they'll stab "Charged Round" once they see the cast bar is interrupted for Grav Round and go on their merry way spamming you.

Haven't read the whole QQ.

 

I will wrap it up from my Sniper point of view. Commando is the hardest healing class that i can face, and the hardest i can down.

 

sniper class is easy to kill too mate like trooper,ofc you cannot give damage to full hp commando; but your class can do just this : kill the 30% below players... every class can kill sniper easily ( if you are marksmanship = you are an easy target... ) (sniper marksmanship and commando has same fate at wz. )

 

so you can QQ too .However İf you are not a commando class here ,don't comment at this post .we don't need to hear your QQ s ....

I hate to agree w/ grammar that bad, but yeah.. commando sucks at PVP. I have a LVL 15vanguard, and I get flocked like a bloody piece of meat in a pirahna tank. I cant hang back like a sniper, and all my close attacks get interupted.

Hate to say it but if you're having that many issues w/ your commando, you're doing it wrong. I love my commando, not as much utility as my sage or guardian when I'm specced full gunnery, but I rip people to shreds, and quick.

This is my favourite post ever......I play merc and I love speccing arsenal and spamming tracer missiles. You get focussed once in a while but the beauty of our class is we really blow things up in the most ostentatious way. I can feel the enemy seething with malcontent everytime a phalanx of tracer missiles comes heading their direction. My biggest disappointments is they are nerfing the tracer animation so it wont be as noticable....Good times

I just kill you first because I despise Comm/Mercs If you're not annoying me with TM/GR spam you're rolling an overpowered healer spec that can't be interrupted. So I make it a habit to kill you, regardless of whether it benefits my team or not.

 

LOL as a merc I kill stupid marauders who can't look up.

Even Gunnery spec was barely touched in regards to nerfs. Why do people see "10% less damage from grav round" = nerf to the spec? THey gave that damage back in the finisher moves. In other words, they fixed a ramp-up class to actually ramp up. They are still ****** turrets.

 

The only thing that was nerfed was Gunnery/Medic hybrids that had Grav Round and tons of heals. And that's a good thing.

I think the DPS potential for Commando is what makes it frustrating. If I get left alone for some reason (it happens), then I can rack up insane damage. However, the other team knows that and they also know that a Commando is a whipping boy against mellee. I'm actually neutral about the "nerf" because I can at least get a better shot at finishing someone with an instant demo round (which I can actually fire on the run) rather than standing there waiting for someone to interrupt my grav round. True commando suks 1v1, so I try not to Rambo in WZ. Even if the other team focuses on me I just try to stay alive as long as possible and take up their attention to give the rest of my team a better chance. Sometimes you can be the heavy hitter, sometimes you are the role player....and sometimes you're just gonna get it handed to you.
