I understand maintenance must be completed intime for the weekend event, but you have just made a lot of currently playing people angry.. the sales proverb goes " it takes 4 times as much effort to expand a client base as it does to maintain it.

Bioware please try to keep people happy and do this sort of weekend prep work in the working day, or at late night hours....

Plus 15 min warning was a bit poor.. i was trying to kill an elite mob and had just died with a 10 min resporn point... :(

Whoa so you lose 2 hours out of gaming big deal. This "Paying Customer" argument is old and lame. You pay like everyone else, so you aren't above the law.

It's $15 bucks a month, you distribute that over a month, practically paying cents a day. Money must be real tight for you to complain over a couple cents lost of game time.

QFT... half of the people complaining are probably not the ones that are paying for the game to begin with, w/e, i'm waiting patiently for the game to return to playable status.

to guy from bio-ware, who is going shut this thread down. Please, can they give us an explantion as why its always the eu time that is spoilt. But never the american prime time, as i getting fed up withit know:mad:

Obviously its because the developers are located in the US, combined with the fact that EU's primetime happens to coincide with work hours in the US. Unfair I am sure.

Can we please just give BW a break? They created this awesome game... and though I agree it's poor timing, if they want to put in a patch, they have every right to.

LOL. 'Let's give them a break cause they effed us to earn more money'. But let's give them a break :D

How dare you provide a valid and logical reason!

my goodness all this complaining about 2 hrs of down time for something that is going to make the game better. Its not like the game is going to be down for a week.It will be ok 1 more hour and we can play again

Free pass isn't really going to make the game better, more populated maybe.

I really didn't want to add into this trolling nonsense, but for everyone who is complaining about it being on European time, currently in AMERICA its 3:13pm. My prime time to play is exactly now, I have to leave to go to work right when the servers come back up.

I'M NOT COMPLAINING AND BEING A B****!

You know what i'm going to do? I'm going to play TOMORROW because I can't play today and that's OKAY because its a VIDEO GAME.

I am so sorry bioware, don't let these whiners get to you, your doing a great job! Things like this happen and normal people like me, who don't get to play today are okay with it. Keep up the good work!

In a 24/7 global world there is no such thing as prime time...no matter if it is your personally available time to play. Regular maintenance is done at non-peak times as dictated by BW's internal metrics. Emergency maintenance is done when it is needed. Not that I think this is needed. They should have just postponed the free trial and done the patch next tuesday.

How about because there are many more American players than European players? Yep that's it. Not hard to understand.

Actually, it's 6-8 GMT, not 6-9. Still, the timing of this down time does seem a bit odd. I hope the patch is worth it.

Thats where you wrong its not in GMT , but in CET so yes its in the peek time in europe, Bioware must think that old players are not worth to keeping, by shutting down the server at this time frame.

Every time they do thease sorta things more and more people leaves the game. and now they start on invite friends and weekend passes , i think they disprate for my customers , but as long there is thease bugs in the game and you cant get live agents in game, they will loose the battle. some new games comming soon , so only way they get people to stay is to FIX the DARN buggs and Stop restarting and down the server when its prime time!

Coogahat, LMAO man. Nice signature block!

Ya, this shid happens people. Go do something, like shower, go for a walk, do your homework, Facebrag, choke a hairless chicken while Facebragging... etc.

Food for thought... who's beard possesses more power? George Lucas' or Chuck Norris'?

As a Raiding guild its already hard to keep our current members interested in the game due to lack of content, and you ruining our 16 man OPS cos of "This patch is necesary to ensure a good experience for all players during our Weekend Pass Trial weekend." (and yes people do try to be there on time and rush back home from work etc.. )

I think more and more people will cancel subs and give it another go at 1.2 release .. starting with me..

^THIS^ Would love to see top secret corporate spreadsheet for people still subbed on March 20th

Awesome mods Bioware!!!

Awesome customer support!!!

L2Respect your subs.

Thats my biggest concern with Bioware myself.

If Bioware was running an restaurant they would be constantly pushing half their customers out of the door during lunch time, and not telling whats going on...

No restaurant no matter how new and innovative it is will run profitable for a long time.

actually, Bioware is a Canadian company.

But as I stated above, since the servers will be having cross server content in the very near future... EU players are not taken as seperate. They are part of ONE playerbase. Servers muct have the same version, across the board.

Thus, they patch at times that are lowest numbers OVERALL.

The fact that UE numbers are lower than NA numbers is why they patch when they do. They patch when the OVERALL numbers are lowest. To inconvenience the fewest people possible.

They are doing a good job.

But they also shafted their paying customers so they (BW) can earn more money by getting more customers.

I don't really care, but I think a lot of people are missing ^^ this point right here.
