The game is really cool but is definitely made better if you can connect with people and have someone to explain things. Even as a grizzled old veteran I am still finding out things that were not immeditely obvious to me. Also I guess it can be a bit daunting communicating with people when you are not really sure of the reception you might get. The guild I belong to is called Pulse l'cie and we make a specific effort to mentor new players and guide them through all aspects of the game. Above all else this is just a game and if you don't `get` it straight away then beleive me we have ALL been there. Also don't be afraid to ask questions in General Chat. I`m sure that someone will be able to help you out. Yes there will be people who may LOL at you. Guess what though? They are idiots and have obviously forgotten that once upon a time they were in precisely the same situation as you find yourself.
