How I started winning 1v1s

Well before this spec I was full gunnery and had some points in the healing tree. I couldnt beat people in 1v1 situations unless they had less or same gear as me and I had the 1st hit.

 

I was also very easily killed by sith assasins, marauders, dps juggernaughts and sorc hybrids. Then i tried out a new spec. I could take on about 3 people who were a bit less geared then me and kill at least two. I was able to get more medals then my average of 7 and became more useful by healing my team mates when needed.

 

I used to feel like a useless cannon but now I get messages saying things like, "great heals" or "Ill pvp with you anytime."

Please dont troll, I am pretty new with forums.

Basically you heal and dps and use hammer shot alot to get your super charge cells available. Then you put up to 5 gravity vortexes on the enemy, Pop supercharge, adrenals and relics and just start spamming charged bolts which will have no cost for about 10 seconds. You should also get a pve gunnery 2piece for the 15% crit increase for charged bolts or gravity round. Have fun and see if this helps YOU in 1v1 sitiuations.

... is it really a hybrid when you have 30 in one tree?

 

This is a really weird spec anyway.

 

-Passing on Field Medicine is flat out wrong... two points in Potent Medicine gives you 6% extra healing when you crit... Field Medicine is a flat 6% extra healing, AND charges your SCC faster. It's better, period.

 

-I also seriously question passing on Treated Wound Dressings, especially when you're in PvP; 4% flat mitigation is amazing.

 

It seems to me that if you're going to pass on Bacta Infusion, you may as well pull some more points out and get the cool stuff from the bottom of the Gunnery Tree... Charged Barrier and Concussive Force are way cooler than Potent Medicine.

Add to this, the fact that he went 11 up Gunnery to get Grav Round, yet Charged Bolts with Supercharged Cells is far more meaningful.

And which Ammo/Buff are you running? Frankly, I do not see this build capable of doing any real DPS. Sure you've got your free Charged Bolts but you've got no ammo regeneration or any damage modifiers for that matter.

 

Ive been using combat cell oh and for the other guy... I took grav round for the armor reduction but you can swap it out for bacta infusion. I didnt really need bacta infusion though because I have been able to do well so far. I took grav round because i realised that my charged bolts had trouble hitting snipers that were in cover for some reason while grav round all ways hit the enemy.

I really like the Gunnery build, but let me ask...wouldn't taking the 2 pts from Med Zone and placing them in Cell Capacitor be better? The reason being more DPS means more power.

 

Also...has anyone tried a hybrid with the Healing/Assault tree? The mobility that would offer has me curious as to builds people may have tried.

Well it depends. Even though i use the gunnery tree I still tend to heal a lot and I have used cell capacitor but it didnt make much of a difference.

Also i will try healing/assault soon because people say the mobility of assault is good but with healing you lose your free charged bolts spam :p
