New Assault Spec idea.

Im at a work computer so not sure why it doesnt let me copy paste the spec link. Ill add it later. But Im trying out Grav round while running Assault. If you use IA and unlock your HIB's then I would suggest trying this out. 5/11/25 or a 3/16/22 build ill post later. Using your CB's normally unlocks at 30% and hardly ever does and also it doesnt add a debuff to use HIB. Using Grav round instead does enable you to use HIB right off the bat and stacks a debuff. Ive been full assault for a while now and love it but now I want to try out a few more things. Ran this a few times last night before I logged and it worked great.

 

Rotation:

Grav (X-whatever makes you comfy), HIB from grav debuff, FA and hope for an unlock, HIB again

 

Rinse and repeat untill FA is off CD.

 

The 3/16/22 build I dont have Rain of Fire added in, but I did add Deadly Cannon and an extra debuff from Grav also Concussive Force for the extra knockbacks.

 

The 5/11/25 Just has the Grav added in keeping RoF and a little extra ammo which those points could be added elsewhere.

 

Anyways, tell me what you think about using Grav Round with Assault? It seems to work so far. You might want to have a high crit% for this. Mine is around 33% right now, there are a few other ways to add in Grav and work some points in other places but I tried to get as much Crit as I could. I would love to fit in Burnout.

 

Another perk, your grav rounds slowing people lol

I'm running a hybrid that's simular but I use AP cell and try to maximize HIB using charged as my spammer...seems to be doing around the same as gunnery wih an occasional bigger faster burst..specifically when CB procs a few HIBs in a row. The build has some randomness in that it's not as consistent as gunnery but I have had it give me near 10k damage in 2 seconds on a light armor wearer.

My build that I'm screwing around with now gives HiB 65% armor pen and a crapload of other buffs when you include eliminator set bonus...Play style for me is very similar to gunnery with a little more mobility and randomness to your burst.

 

Id love for a long time gunnery player to try it out and just replace DR with IR and GR with CB.

 

I lead with IR HiB Tech overide CB and hopefully another HiB for a nice fat chunk of health gone very quickly (Ive done 10k a few times to light armor)...them spam CB and occasionally FA or CG if they wipe the Dot but that rarely happens.

different ways of skinning a cat...Im guess stacking the GR debuff with the DOT is pretty interesting..what I like about the AP cell version is the damage is front loaded but can also get nasty with a little luck at any time.
