I know that once EA has ended, I won't be able to actually play until my retail code is entered, however - will my characters still be here if there's a gap? I've never known an MMO to delete characters before e.g. if an account lapsed, but then... Early access is just a soft launch: Unless Bioware decides to do something absolutely insane like purge all of the servers to "cure" the PvP leveling "exploit", your characters will just quietly gather dust until you can enter your retail code.
