But really, this has been a gear based game and people knew that. But honestly, anyone claiming that skill is removed just because they can mash a few buttons doesn't seem to get it. Skill is using tactics, your abilities and so forth smartly. Anytime I see someone preach about the lack of skill in this game because they got yanked into a fire trap or pushed off a ledge I just roll my eyes, because they are one of those people that prefer the herp a derp method of standing toe to toe and trading blows with people. Nice presumption but however you clearly stating your own demise. Swtor pvp lacks complexness. Just looking at how you post tells me alot about you. If you think fire traps and acid are great. I have no problem with that because it's part of the game so why would I "cry" about it. Maybe if you are still living life playing 31 deception. Everybody runs tank hybrid spec now days if you havent realised. And it hardly has any coooldowns and it's probably the best 1v1 spec in game. I'm not sure if trying to game the resolve bar is really what most people find fun about PvP nor should it really be the "upper tier of SWTOR PvP skill". Foghorn Leghorn says: "I say, I say, that fella is moving again, son...somebody, I mean somebody slap another stun on him!" You can easily get to 2300 with the right comp and macros. Until rated warfronts comes out, you can't really judge the pvp in this game. While it's not that great in SWtOR it's still a lot better than in WoW. The only thing WoW has going for it in terms of PvP is responsive gameplay. No it's your opinion that Swtor PvP is better than WoW and it's my opinion that Swtor PvP is crap and skilless. Say what you what and believe what you want but numbers dont lie. Adzzy Posted February 9, 2012 Share Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) the gear gap in tor is a byproduct of it being a pve game first, it's why the gear is 51-56-58, because that's about the levels bioware figured about right balanced out normal, hard and nightmare pve content and the pvp gear levels mirror it. I only made it to 1800ish in WoW arenas a few years ago but I enjoy PvP in SWTOR quite a bit more. Probably due to the lightsabers... fireballs and swords are so overdone. On the other hand I believe that SWTOR atm has some specific classes/builds that require the most player skill compared to other theme/carebear MMOs out there (like RIFT, WoW etc). Oh here we go with Darkfail and DAoC argument. Please understand we are talking about theme park MMOs. Swtor is theme park MMO but it still doesnt change the fact Rift and WoW have better pvp than Swtor does it? Exactly what was your argument again? It's going to be even more awesome this month to see them losing subs again. Better yet I'll even go as far as to say that Swtor will die before this coming summer. Because judging the success of PvP based on subscription for a game that entails so much more than just that is not a proper indicator.
