SO this means it takes my %18 and makes it %36, is that correct? It sure seems more often.

It makes your 18% crit chance into 118% crit chance.

That's why Crit is mostly an undervalued stat for sents. All out main damage abilities have skills that guarantee crit (combat trance for Combat, Zen for WM, Leap for Focus).

Note sure if you mean Cirt Rating or Crit Chance. Autocrits make crit rating(crit%) less valuable and surge(critX) and power more valuable.

Just don't fall into the trap of thinking Blade Storm is our main attack, that would be Blade Rush with the ataru strikes. With Blade Rush buff on you have a 50% chance for two ataru strikes and should all three attacks hit, that can be some great damage as well.

 

For this reason you still want a high crit rating (+insight imo) you'll be throwing out many more Blade Rush's than Blade storms, so you'll want to get the most out of them.
