How do you take screen shot in cut scenes?

There is a button for it under Preferences (under keybindings > misc ), but in my experience it's really hit or miss and doesn't always take pictures. I use FRAPS instead. It's a free program and works wonders. A total lifesaver and definitely worth looking into if you are interested.

 

Love that picture Sangiban! I've never tried that romance on Makeb....I think I'll have to now.

Hey yall since this thread gets so much love from people who love awesome looking gear I thought I might ask this here

 

Getting ready to gear up my BH for 53+ lvl with a fresh look and dug on this helmet in this promo pic, but never saw it on the GTN or any of the BH vendors. I know the model of the helmet drops on heroics on Corellia, but I'm digging this particular one with the insignia on the fore head. Any ideas?

A look-alike existed at one point, as far as the chest, leggings and what not are concerned, but not anymore. This is the closest you can get nowadays.

 

Same with the helmet; Nothing like it is available, with the symbol I mean.

I bet most of us take screenshots of our characters during the conversation scenes, when the textures look good and nothing hurts the eyes. Let's show off!

 

How to take screenshots and add them to your post? Read below.

 

I guess we all noticed that the Print Screen button hardly ever works in-game, and it's even less reliable during the cinematics. There are various other ways to take screenshots, personally I use and can recommend a free program called FRAPS. You can download it here. It lets you specify the destination folder and the screenshot button. It is fairly lightweight and it shouldn't slow down your system. The only disadvantage is that the free version saves the screens in BMP format which makes them rather big files - so remember to clean your screenshots folder regularly.

 

To add a screenie to your comment, you need to upload it to a free image hosting site first. There's plenty of them available. I use Photobucket, as it's easy to navigate and in the account setting you can tell it to automatically resize large images to something more suitable for a forum. Once you upload the image there, look for a link to it. Copy the URL, then go to your comment and click the tiny image button above the text editing window. Paste the URL there and... you're done!

 

Notes:

- if you move or remove the image you have linked, the URL to it will change and the pic will disappear from your post!

- for non-cinematic screenshots, use Alt + z to hide your user interface

Olivia? Reported! She's a fictional character from Shakespeare! Rachel? Reported! Rachel was a fictional character in Friends. John? Reported, cause he dies at the end. (hehe). Seriously, I could go on but you get my point. I'm sure. Bioware, if you read this... stop being stupid.

Probably 7 or so The Jedi outfits are pretty ridiculous and I thought this was the only decent looking non-hooded one. It's like the Jedi designers got half the budget compared to the Sith ones.
