Hobocrunch Posted February 3, 2012 Share Posted February 3, 2012 So Assault Plastique, at least for Commando is pretty darn worthless. Basically the situation comes down to the fact that all it does is about 400 more damage on top of Charged bolts, but doesn't give you a chance to proc your High Impact Bolt. Basically the procs of High Impact Bolt are where you get a lot of your dps from due to the fact that you refund Energy when it happens. The idea would be simple, make Assault plastique refresh the duration on Incendiary Round. This would give a reason to cast, and a reason to watch the duration as it would give you a 3 second window to pull it off in longer fights, adding some skill. Of course this would add DPS, so the damage of Assault Plastique could be lowered. Anyhow, just a thought. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

royobannon Posted February 3, 2012 Share Posted February 3, 2012 I think giving such a high-damage, high-mobility skill even more utility would cause some rocking in the boat. As it is, the skill does its job, and it does it well. It may not be a flashy or combo-based skill, but its extremely reliable and allows Assault spec Commandos to do damage even after LOS has been broken. Stovokor Posted February 4, 2012 Share Posted February 4, 2012 Assault Plastique is a very strong talent in PvP. Being on the move able to cast plastique is huge. It crits pretty hard and sometimes if you instinctively know when certain classes like assassins are going to re-enter stealth...this talent truly brings LOL's. Tends to happen when they are about to die but want to come out of stealth one last time to delay the cap. Pop Assault Plastique and any stealther entering stealth will be forced out shorthly after. But Assault Plast is worse then Demoliton Round and imo it need a buff = need to have AoE dmg. Gunner and Assault Specialist should be competitive for any commando DPS player. atm its not... im not saying that Assault Specialist is crap, but u cant do as much dmg as u can do at Gunnery spec Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
