I assume since you're posting in the PT we can dismiss the idea that you're a merc, and thus disregard the second post on this thread as being uninformed about the fact that powertechs have DPS specs. If you intent to do any amount of tanking, the commando mods will be helpful in getting you geared for hard modes as a shield-tech Powertech. The increased endurance is excellent in giving you enough health to survive the nastier bursts of damage you'll encounter in flash points, and gives your healer more time to get you up in a tight spot. If you're an advanced prototype or pyrotech specialty, I can reasonably assume you're more of a damage dealer, in which case the higher aim provided by the reflex armoring and barrel will be far more helpful than the endurance boost.
